Just saw another site where an old timer really likes the #3 horse in the 2nd race @ Caulder called Sandlot Sue, he is using that horse with all the horses in the first except #5 on daily double combos. There are only 4 other horses in the 1st race. I also played Sandlot Sue to W/P on a hunch. 1st race starts in about 15 minutes for anyone interested I think it's its worth a shot! hc

I just checked brisnet and there are only 4 horses running in the 2nd. So our chances our pretty good! hc

      FIRST RACE:

6 RED MOON RISING is turning back slightly to six furlongs after dueling for the lead and tiring to finish third vs. $8,000 claimers at six and a half. The daughter of Migrating Moon, 5 for 7 in the money at the distance, is reunited with jockey Manny Aguilar. 1 SEPTEMBER ELEVENTH drops to the bottom and turns back after finishing a troubled sixth (steadied), as the favorite, in a $6,250 event at a mile and a sixteenth. Trainer Dave Braddy tabs leading jock Eddie Castro to ride. 3 MISTI LIGHT tries bottom level foes after the chase-and-fade performance in a $9,000 claimer at six and a half furlongs. However, the fact that she's zero-for-eight at the distance makes her look better on the bottom side of the exotic ticket. 5 ENJOY THE WINE needs little improvement on her recent second place finish at the distance to spring the mini-upset.

      SELECTIONS: 6-1-3 LONGSHOT: 5

      SECOND RACE:

3 SANDLOT SUE set the pace until the 70-yard marker before weakening to finish second in a slop race at this level and distance. She's the controlling speed again, in what on paper appears to be a much easier spot. 5 MARLENE PLUS certainly has license to improve after recovering from a slow start to finish fourth in her lifetime debut at this level and distance. 7 VIGNERON came up empty, as the lukewarm choice, when she tired to finish a distant fifth behind Sandlot Sue and Marlene Plus in her first ever journey around two turns. Trainer Bill Cesare tabs Luis Arango to ride. 1 SINGABALLAD, a one-run type, can grab a share in what can best be described as a wide-open race. Cecilio Penalba rides.

      SELECTIONS: 3-5-7 LONGSHOT: 1

      THIRD RACE:

3 TRANQUILITY BAY should have landed in the winner's circle but was forced to steady on the far turn and stretch when beaten three-quarters of a length, as the favorite, last out. 1 NATURELLE'S WAY showed a definite fondness for the lawn when she dueled throughout and finished second, at 17-1, in her career turf debut. She breaks along the temporary rail with the tactical speed needed to use the inside post to her advantage. 6 EVORA, who does her best running in the latter stages of the race, should be along to nail a share of the trifecta ticket. Trainer Bill Cesare reunites the daughter of Alphabet Soup with jockey M R Cruz. 8 FREE STRIKE, a speedy sophomore from the Kathleen O'Connell barn, should be running and gunning as soon as they open the gate.

      SELECTIONS: 3-1-6 LONGSHOT: 8

      FOURTH RACE:

2 OUR FIRST FLIGHT is stretching out slightly to a mile after rallying five-wide to finish second vs. similar quality at seven furlongs. Trainer Paul Maxwell reunites the sophomore with apprentice Leroy Nelson. 1 ACTCELERATE drops to the $10K level and stretches out around two turns after finishing fourth in consecutive sprints at the $16K level. 4 TONY SOPRANO is stretching out to a mile after finishing fourth in consecutive sprints at the $10K level. Trainer Kathleen O'Connell has Aurelio Toribio Jr. atop the son of Allen's Prospect. 5 DINNER FLIGHT is hoping to hit the board for the first time in nine tries over the track (8-0-0-0). Trainer Miguel Rivera finds a spot where the colt should be competitive.

      SELECTIONS: 2-1-4 LONGSHOT: 5

      FIFTH RACE:

6 LOVABLE KRISTY plunges to the $10K level after proving no match for two-lifetime allowance competition on the grass last out. Note that the daughter of Bates Motel is 3 for 3 in the money on this track vs. tougher competition. 3 MAGIC LINE rebounded from a slow start to finish a four-wide second at this level and distance. Trainer Pepe Mendez reunites the daughter of Ponche with jockey Abdiel Jaen. 4 WINDY'S ESCAPADE, 2 for 2 in the money on this track, makes her first start since she dueled and weakened to finish fourth vs. similar quality at Tampa. Trainer Kathleen O'Connell secures the services of jockey M R Cruz, who was aboard for the mare's maiden victory here way back in 2002. 2 HOLE PONCHE is facing winners after drawing away to defeat bottom level maidens by five lengths. The daughter of Ponche can make it two in a row.

      SELECTIONS: 6-3-4 LONGSHOT: 2

      SIXTH RACE:

1 RUSH HER should be ready to score after chasing the pace and finishing third vs. similar in her first start nine weeks. M R Cruz will get her interested as soon as the gate opens. 4 SEA TECH took a step in the right direction when finishing an improved fourth with blinkers added. Trainer Manny Tortora has leading jock Eddie Castro atop the daughter of Mecke. 2 TROUBLE FROM DAVIE cuts back to five and a half furlongs hoping the shorter distance will remedy her penchant for finishing third (6-0-0-3). Trainer Tony Hemmerick gives jockey Omar Camejo a leg up. 3 SONG HUNTER cuts back a tad to five and a half furlongs after finishing a three-wide third vs. similar quality at three-quarters of a mile. The daughter of Dove Hunt, sent off at 28-1 in consecutive races, can boost the superfecta payoff.

      SELECTIONS: 1-4-2 LONGSHOT: 3

      SEVENTH RACE:

9 FORMAL MISS is back home on her preferred surface (9-4-1-3) after failing to handle the slop in the Rooney Memorial Cap at Delaware. The multiple stakes-placed 4-year-old should be able to flaunt her class in this spot. 8 ARAB MISS, 2 for 2 on this course since moving to the Marty Wolfson barn, will try and use her speed to make three victories in a row. The daughter of Awad will be very tough at a mile. 2 HARTS GAP should sit a garden trip behind the hot and heavy pace scenario expected. Note that the Bill White trainee is 3 for 4 in the money on this course, and 3 for 3 in the money at the distance. 1 SECRET REQUEST, entered to run on the main track only, has trained like a monster since winning the $40K Cut The Charm on May 7.

      SELECTIONS: 9-8-2 LONGSHOT: 1

      EIGHTH RACE:

1 KRISTINE'S KING is turning back to six furlongs after posting a triple-digit speed figure when he walloped $35K optional claimers at a mile. Trainer Gerald Procino, who claimed him last out, has Eddie Castro handling the son of El Prado. 5 RUFUSTHEROADRUNNER stepped up the competition after drawing clear to demolish $25K optional claimers by eight lengths. Julio Garcia rides. 6 FORMAL CHARADE is dropping into a competitive spot after chasing the pace three-wide and fading to finish fifth in the $40K Fappie's Notebook. The colt, 5 for 9 in the money on this track, is reunited with jockey Gary Bain. 2 MY LAST CHANCE makes his North American debut after hitting the board in 14 of his 20 races in Argentina. Trainer Eduardo Maver adds Lasix and Manny Aguilar on this unknown quantity.

      SELECTIONS: 1-5-6 LONGSHOT: 2

      NINTH RACE:

1 ACTXPEDITE drops into the claiming ranks and stretches out to a mile and a sixteenth (2-0-1-0) after rallying late to finish fourth vs. maiden-allowance competition at a mile. 4 VALOR JAKET is stretching out slightly after recovering from a traffic situation on the first turn to finish second at a mile. The gelding is ready to exit the maiden ranks. 2 WARRIOR STAR drops to the lowest level of his career after finishing a distant fourth vs. maiden-allowance competition on the turf. Trainer Barry Croft readied him for this assignment with a bullet five-furlong drill on June 9. 7 WHERE'S GEORGE showed late interest when rallying to finish third, at 17-1, in his recent race at this level and distance. Trainer Manny Azpurua has seven-pound apprentice Pedro Monterrey Jr. in the irons again.

      SELECTIONS: 1-4-2 LONGSHOT: 7
