      Dueces Wild :

      Hollywood Park

      Race 9.

LA CHOLA lures Victor off a strong work tab and might be a good
longshot play. DESERT GAL ran well at the level. LAKERETTE ran evenly
vs. a tougher group. Bet LA CHOLA (WP), Box the Exacta 4/14/10, Box
the Trifecta 4/14/10/6, and Box the Superfecta 4/14/10/6 $24. (*Note:
Alternates to replace any late scratches are #6 and #8). HAVE A GREAT
      DAY AT THE TRACK!!!

          Spot Play :

          Race 4 Cerveza Tom (#6)

Today's 4th race is a starter allowance event for three year olds and upward which have broken their maiden for a claiming price of $40,000 or less. This race will feature two different starter allowance sprints from last month with much faster than par winning figures. The May 8th start won by Damar Wayne had winning figures of 97-105+ for this same 101 par level. LAKESIDE TRAIL (4-1) was able to finish third with figures of 95-101+. That performance plots best for this group even though LAKESIDE TRAIL has had way too many chances to clear this level.

For today's spot play I decided to use the other very strong starter allowance race run on May 6th. CERVEZA TOM (5-1) comes out of a race that had winning figures of 104-107+ where Beyond Our Wildest won by seven lengths. CERVEZA TOM earned figs of 94-98+ in a race that had to be just a prep. Trainer Juan Garcia must have known he had a "short" horse since he put CERVEZA TOM in a 5-1/2 furlong sprint. Since that start, CERVEZA TOM has put in five additional works which should have this horse much more fit than last time. I think Alex Solis should be closing strongly into what should be a rather soft early pace. CERVEZA TOM won't have to improve very much to be extremely tough in this spot. 5-1 on the line is so much more than fair.

I will use CERVEZA TOM as my key spot play wager. For the exotics, I will toss in LAKESIDE TRAIL and recent maiden winner LIGHTS OUT TONEY in an effort to land an even bigger payoff. The straight wager on CERVEZA TOM could pay well in all slots since this race seems pretty wide open. Good luck!

          Rick
