    Luz2Play2 :

I thank you for your support and imput also . As I have stated many times ... You can leadem to the Water but You cant make them Drink !

My sheet had the race in question at Derby Lane # 14 to play as follows :

    4627 :

    Quinella : Box the 246 = 39.00 ( Cost 6.00 )

    Trifecta : Wheel the 46/246/All = 409.00 ( Cost 24.00 )

    Superfecta : Wheel the 46/246/2467/234678 = 1556.40 (24 $ )

I dont favor to many times how to bet them , I do lead in the right direction by posting the :

[38] as the dogs to contend in a particular race , since it came across as a 4263 anyone should surmise that the 3 & 8 would be on the middle or tailend of my ticket as I see fit , as it where last nite they where just on the tail-end .

I try and not lead a person by the nose but instead tax thier brain by giving them everything they need to proceed and cap a race , how they wager is totally up to them .......... unless of course they are customers !

I give them a complete road-map as to my play and most are very good cappers anyways , but as with many people dont see the light when it comes to capturing the best value in each race and getting good bang-for-the-buck !

Again I thank you and hope this explains the way it went down.

        MMM, i'm still a rookie

i'm really new to the dogs and still confused on how to bet in which situation...

when you list the race like this
(1)234 how does it differ from
        (12)34 and
        (123)4
i guess the question i'm trying to ask is how would you bet these???
also if a race is listed
        (12)34[x]
is this saying that you expect these dogs to to finish in some order with the other dogs not listed not finishing in the top 4?? i hope this isn't confusing you...cuz i am addle-brained a little myself...

From iggy's picks, i have been betting as follows with some success...

        12345
        on the trifecta, i bet
        12 with 123 with 345.
is this a good strategy or do you know of a better one to get more "BANG" for the buck??...thank you for all your help, i appreciate it very much...i think i have other questions that i can't think of right because i'm getting sleepy, very sleepy...joopiter

            joopiter49 :

            Morning Lad ,

I see your grasping at wagering techniques , and there are many

iggys style is a close to the vest and frugal way to approach this as it ****** ground with the least expense per outlay . And for the time being I think his way would suit you best , till you get your wings . And by your questions its apparent that your a bit new to this , if nothing else a bit new to my ways anyhow .

Wagering is what breaks the bulls back in this bizz , once mastered it open the flood-gates to a myriad of options , " but the catch is when to use what ? " Therein lies the problem that faces us all , when do we just point the gun ? when do we load it ? when do we pull the trigger ? etc. etc.

Go back and really look at my Bonanza 2 post , you will see at the start I explained many of your questions already .

when you list the race like this
(1)234 how does it differ from
            (12)34 and
            (123)4

(O)*** shows I feel that this is the strongest dog in this race and for many reasons . It might not be the best , but because I feel his post suits him or a bully next to the best dog will give him the best shot at a win , or his form or recentcy is off the charts at the moment , so as you can see this list could go on forever etc. etc .

(OO)XX simply means I cant see a distinct advantage for either of these two dogs over eachother and even then when I cast final judgement I sometimes throw the 3rd dog in the mix , but these are " tote board decisions " (another important part of the game) . Never do I go into a race with a concrete mindset , as I often see the " Public " overlooking good value and they are the enemy . My customers are given a complete breakdown as to what I think might happen , what I hope doesnt happen , and what could happen . In the (OO)XX situation it often behoves us to shadow play these races and its a no-brainer that the more you see in (OOOO) this type post , the more the outcome is likely to be anything !

Also when Quinella wagering these (OO)XX types , I suggest you go : (O)*** & (O)*** for 6.00 each , instead of just boxing all (OOOO) for 12.00 . THe reasoning behind this is this :

            Example :

(26)58 Bet the 2/568 & 6/258 , it costs the same (12.00) but could pay twice instead of once . If the 26 finish 1st & 2nd , you have two winning tickets for the same price !

As stated above the (OOO)X type races clearly say that I cant see a big advantage for any of the mutts .

(23)68 [X] means I feel , that I dont see any other pup getting into the mix !

            G.L.

I got things to do , and I will get back when I can
