    Penn National - Race #1

    #11 LOST TIME (ML=6/1)
    #4 A LOOSE KISSER (ML=8/1)
    #7 FAST ADVICE (ML=5/1)

LOST TIME - If you review the PP's for this thoroughbred, you'll see she has recorded the top speed rating at the distance and surface. A repeat race in this field and this horse has a superb chance to win. A LOOSE KISSER - Don't throw out based on last race finish. She didn't finish in the money, but made a nice move down the lane making up ground. Could be dangerous at a possible price. FAST ADVICE - Coming off a fifth place finish at Penn National, some may pass on this horse. I'm not. She just missed hitting the show spot, and has pretty good morning odds today. This mare is most certainly on the improve with speed figures of 39, 57, 62 last 3 out.

    Vulnerable Contenders: #5 IN THE BEAT (ML=3/1), #1 GOTTA BE A STAR (ML=4/1), #10 MINER'S SONG (ML=8/1)

IN THE BEAT - I normally try to beat this kind of chalk. Long layoff and no drop in level of competition. GOTTA BE A STAR - I'd like to see more preferred recent outings with morning line odds of 4/1. MINER'S SONG - This mare registered a speed fig in her last event which probably isn't good enough in today's race.

    STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Have to go with #11 LOST TIME on the win end if we get at least 7/2 odds

    EXACTA WAGERS:
    Box [4,7,11]

    TRIFECTA WAGERS:

    Lincoln St Fr :

    Race 4 -

    # 6 SALUTE THIS 9/2

    # 7 B L T TO GO 8/1

    # 10 LIVELY PISTOL 25/1

I think SALUTE THIS is a competitive choice. Has performed quite well recently in route races, posting a nifty 56 avg speed figure. He looks very good in this spot and I expect will be on the front end or close at the halfway point. Could best this group of animals based on the Equibase Speed Figure - 53 - of his last affair. B L T TO GO - Expect this racer to be close at the finish line versus these horses. The speed figure of 53 from his latest race looks decent in here. LIVELY PISTOL - Wiley has this gelding racing well and is a very good choice based on the very strong speed figures garnered in route races lately. Jockey's recent ROI figures make this gelding a good bet.

    Lone Star - Race #10

    #4 PANCHO'S GOLD (ML=8/5)
    #2 WILD RUNNER (ML=4/1)
    #7 DANIEL PRAYED (ML=12/1)

PANCHO'S GOLD - This horse coming off a strong performance in the last month is a strong challenger in my book. Great chance for this steed. Solid late speed and should have good position. Rider hops up aloft after getting to know the horse by riding last out. That's always a good indicator. Three consecutive improved Equibase speed figs (59-62-70) make this horse a dominant contender. Last raced at Lone Star with a poor draw. I swiped some data from The Brain, and his computer says the inside should be a big help to this one today. WILD RUNNER - This colt shows a classic pattern of layoff, two sprints, and stretching to a route today. Horse made up some ground in the stretch last time out on May 16th at Lone Star. That contest is better than it looked. I like a runner that makes a good late run in a sprint race and comes back in a route. DANIEL PRAYED - You have to consider the solid works of late. This animal wins a lot of money per race. I believe he can augment that total in this event.

    Vulnerable Contenders: #5 BETONDEGRAY (ML=5/2)

BETONDEGRAY - Doesn't seem to be in a comfortable spot in today's event.

    STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Play #2 WILD RUNNER to win if you can get odds of 4/1 or more

Race Five is 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf for allowance runners

Number 1 Mango Escapade 9 to 2 on the morning line looks long gone on this Friday night card for Ruis and trainer Don Warren. I will use Number 5 Victory Girl, Number 7 Shebeen and Number 8 The Toast Of Try in exotics top and bottom.
