Trainer Dave Vivian Jr., who had a first-out 2-year-old winner on Monday (Actxeutive), tabs red-hot jock Manny Aguilar to ride. 6 LEGEND, a daughter of win-early sire Tale Of The Cat (21%), has trained well in preparation for the lifetime debut. The tote action should help point you in the right direction. 5 PLAN OF ATTACK, a half to stakes winner Groomstick Stock's, has trained consistently enough to be a factor in her lifetime debut.

6 STRIKE THREE dropped to the $16K level and stretches out to a mile and a half (the Belmont distance) after facing tougher in five starts this year (5-0-1-2). The son of Carson City, bred to handle this marathon distance, is the class of the field with his best. 2 ALUMNI stretches out to 12 furlongs after drawing clear, as the odds-on choice, to defeat $16K claimers in game fashion. 4 DON HECTOR is stepping up the competition after leading every step of the way to defeat $6,250 claimers by daylight. Look for the Don to try and steal this race on the front end. 1 CLOG DANCE, who won a mile and three-sixteenths race on the dirt in England, will try and beat the boys after failing to show much vs. her own kind on the turf. The daughter of Woodman, out of the Slew O' Gold mare Royal Fandango, is bred to run all day.

FIFTH RACE:

9 STARSHIP DEPUTY, who came within a head of exiting the maiden ranks at this level and distance on May 1, returns to the grass after failing to show anything in a maiden-allowance race on the dirt. He's the one to fear on the turf, and a throw out if the race shifts to the main track. 6 SPECIAL ANSWER is stretching out to nine furlongs after rallying strongly to hit the board in 2 of 3 turf races at slightly shorter distances. The added real estate should do wonders for the son of Sword Dance. 2 KIAWAH showed promise vs. better when he tried the turf here last October. Trainer Kathleen O'Connell lures leading jock Eddie Castro to handle the surface switch. 7 GOMER has license to improve after finishing sixth behind Starship Deputy, which was his first start in 15 months. The lightly raced son of Alysheba has trained well since his last.

1 RICH SILVER SWAN steps up to the $9K level after opening and relinquishing a five and a half-length lead vs. $6,250 claimers at a mile and a sixteenth. The son of Rizzi, 7-2-1-1 at a mile, breaks from the rail with Rosemary Homeister Jr. rationing his speed. 5 KEEN INTELLIGENCE, who stalked the pace and finished second at this level and distance on May 8, will be there to reap the spoils if Rich Silver Swan does another swan dive (pun intended) in the stretch. 8 DARNED BOLD, an eight-time winner here, and a three-time winner at this distance, should be along to grab a share of the exotic ticket. The hard-knocking 5-year-old, making his 58th start, has Abdiel Jaen in the irons. 2 HACAN is stretching out a mile after making up 13 lengths in the stretch to defeat $6,250 claimers at six and a half furlongs. He can help boost the superfecta payout.

Trainer Laura Posada adds Lasix and Omar Klinger. 7 STAROOK, a son of Montbrook, shows two sharp local workouts in preparation for the debut. Trainer Ed Plesa Jr., having a strong meet with his juvenile runners, tabs Manny Aguilar to ride. 5 MECKE MY DAY drops a notch and stretches out after showing early interest and fading in his five-furlong debut. Jockey Eddie Castro gives him another chance, and I'm inclined to do the same. 4 LISA'S BUCK, a son of promising win-early sire Thats Our Buck (21%), has trained resolutely in preparation for the debut. Trainer Joe Calascibetta adds Lasix and Rosemary Homeister Jr. on the Lisa Voloshin homebred.

4 MR. LIVINGSTON rediscovered his stakes form when he returned from the layoff to win the $75K mile and a sixteenth Carterista Handicap. The winner of 50% of his races at a mile (8-4-1-0) signaled he was ready for this assignment, with a bullet five-furlong drill on the grass. 1 JOEY BLUEEYES has been sidelined since he stalked the pace and tired to finish sixth in the 12-furlong Pan Am Handicap (G2) at Gulfstream (March 20). The son of Flying Pidgeon, 6-1-2-1 on this surface, is spotted perfectly vs. this caliber of competition. 6 MARCO'S WORD, third to Mr. Livingston in the Carterista, is back on the lawn after wiring $62.5K optional claimers on the main track. However, note that the winner of 50% of his races at the distance (6-3-0-1), must avoid a duel with equally swift Last Stand to offer his best. 2 UNBRIDELS KING turns back to a mile looking to secure a staking trip behind the aforementioned speed duel between Marco and Last Stand. Don't ignore! 9 CAGNEY, a son of 1999 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Anees, out of the stakes-producing dam She's Realistic, has been sharp during training hours. Eddie Castro rides.

The son of Victory Speech, 3 for 3 in the money at the distance, gets a jock switch to Eddie Castro. 9 PAM'S WILDCAT looked like a wildcat when broke on the lead and drew off to win his career turf debut by eight-plus lengths. The speedy son of Forest Wildcat will be tested for class in his first start vs. winners. 8 MAXINKUCKEE makes his south Florida debut the first start since breaking his maiden on the turf at Tampa. Trainer Kirk Ziadie, winning races at a 38% rate (6 for 16), has his go-to jock Emanuel Cosme trying to spring the upset.

ELEVENTH RACE:

The gelding, a five-time winner at this distance (16-5-3-2), is sitting on a big performance. 1 QUANACO will depart from the rail after surrendering a commanding three and a half-length lead to finish second in his recent outing from Post 6. The colt, improving since the addition of blinkers, should be a serious speed threat. 5 ABATARES will step up into the allowance fray after back-to-back claiming victories at seven furlongs. Note that trainer Pablo Andrade has a strong 28% win average with horses stretching from a sprint to a route. 7 GROOVY FORTUNE is back on the main track after a troubled (bumped, steadied) outing on the grass. The sophomore, 3 for 3 in the money at the distance, can spring an upset with his best.

The second start with the shades can be a winning experience. 8 PROUD MICHAEL ran into a buzz saw named Alarm On The Farm when finishing distant second in his first-ever race around two turns. Eddie Castro gets the return call. 6 DURKIN'S CALL is stretching out after weakening to finish fourth in what should prove to be a useful outing over the demanding Calder main track. The New York shipper gets a jock switch to Abdiel Toribio.
