    As it where yesterday , I eclipsed my record here for picking a cold-hard winner ( 78.80 ) over the previous ( 64.00 ) . But better still I laid-out 3 tracks for the viewing public :

Churchill Downs / Calder / Arlington

Of which we just mowed them down with gusto , an absolutely fantastic day that turned many bucks at the tote window , and we cashed the day at a very handsome profit .

Also my Daily Horse Picks , while attempting a shot at 7 races at different tracks nation-wide landed a very cold trifecta ( number-for-number ) @ Bay Meadows ( Quin & W/P/S also ) , nailed two cold winners @ Pimlico & Marquis , hit a winner & quinella @ Belmont for a 600% return on the investment .

Being this is a great chance for Smarty Jones to make history and there are many good looking match-ups out there today plus I seem to be warming-up to the action lately so I was wondering ?

Is there any reason for me to post today ?

    Daily Horses :

    Arlington Park

    Race #5

    Choice Plays:

    #1 MISS OUTRAGEOUS (ML=7/2)
    #4 RIVERBROOK (ML=8/5)
    #3 BANGBANGONTHEDOOR (ML=2/1)

MISS OUTRAGEOUS - This is a classic 'Lone Front-runner' scenario. If Sterling gets him out of the gate cleanly it'll likely be smooth sailing. This equine is uppermost in earnings per race entered. She looks nice in today's event. RIVERBROOK - This filly is very reliable, frequently finishing in the money. I'll forgive that last race on May 21st when she failed as the favorite. That race was pretty good for a $50,000 Optional Claiming race and this filly's fig was solid. This filly registered a nice fig of 78 in her last race. That speed rating should be good enough to triumph this time out. BANGBANGONTHEDOOR - I like that latest outing on May 21st at Arlington Park where she finished third. It looks like Graham had to be more familiar with this filly on May 21st when riding her for the first time. Back atop again today. This thoroughbred is not the M/L favorite, yet she finished ahead of today's chalk in their last race together. You have to like that most recent race speed rating, 78, which is the best latest race rating of this field.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 COLD FRONT (ML=4/1)

COLD FRONT - This filly hasn't had any recent favorable outcomes in sprint races. Difficult to bet on her in this event.

    STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Put your money on #1 MISS OUTRAGEOUS on the nose if you can get odds of 3/1 or more

    RACE #6
    The Vagrancy Stakes
6½ FURLONGS DIRT GRADE II FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD STAKES $150,000.00 PURSE
    #4 BEAR FAN
    #3 SMOK'N FROLIC
    #8 BEAUTY HALO
    #5 KUANYAN

#4 BEAR FAN has hit the board in "POWER RUN FASHION" in each of her last five starts, including back-to-back-to-back "POWER RUN WINS" in her last three outings. Jockey Edgar Prado and Trainer Todd Pletcher send her to the post this afternoon .. .they've hit the board with 69% of their entries saddled as a team to date producing a +36% R.O.I. (return on investment) in the process.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Churchill Downs

    Race #10
    #2 Ender's Sister - Fair odds 1/1 (even money)
Exacta: 2 over 4,5 (likely to pay off better than a win bet)

Ender's Sister would be a low priced overlay if her 2/1 morning line held up, which isn't likely. She reeled off five straight wins between last October and this March before settling for 2nd in the Grade 2 La Troienne here at CD on April 29, very game in missing by 1/2 a length and keeping 2nd by a head to the highly regarded Bohemian Lady. In this race she is likely the only horse with any ability and more importantly desire to be on the lead, and with her class and talent she should romp wire to wire, just like she did last fall at Aqueduct when allowed an easy lead, a 10 length win.

    Eureka Downs

    Race 6 - Maiden - 250y on the Dirt. Purse: $1600 Class Rating: 62

QUARTER HORSE 250Y, FOR MAIDEN TWO YEAR OLDS. WEIGHT 120 LBS.

    RECOMMENDED CHOICES

    # 6 CUTE LADY DRIVER 5/2

    # 8 LITTLE EASY BILLY 7/2

    # 3 LADY WITH EYE APPEAL 4/1

CUTE LADY DRIVER should be supported as the wager in here. Could provide positive profits based on decent recent speed figs with an average of 54. Thomas has a strong 18 percent win rate with entries running at this distance and surface. LITTLE EASY BILLY - Has strong speed figs and has to be considered for a bet in this race. LADY WITH EYE APPEAL - Has been running solidly lately and ought to be up near the front end early on.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Fairmont Park

    Race 2 - Claiming - 8.3f on the Dirt. Purse: $4600 Class Rating: 76

FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD NON-WINNERS OF A RACE EXCEEDING $3200 SINCE 3/26/04 OR WHICH HAVE NEVER WON FOUR RACES. THREE YEAR OLDS, 117 LBS.; OLDER, 124 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF TWO RACES AT A MIILE OR OVER SINCE APRIL 5 ALLOWED 3 LBS. ONE SUCH RACE SINCE THEN ALLOWED 6 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $4,000

    RECOMMENDED CHOICES

    # 2 HONORABLE KING 5/2

    # 6 SON OF PETE 6/1

    # 3 EL GRAN FRAN (ARG) 4/1

HONORABLE KING looks to be a very good contender. Earnings per start at the distance/surface is a good angle. This horse ranks at the top in this group. The average Equibase class rating alone makes this one a key contender. Formidable average speed figs in dirt route races make this animal a solid contender. SON OF PETE - Has decent Equibase Speed Figures and has to be considered for a wager here. The winning percentage shown by horses entered by Lawrence running at this distance are the most respectable in this group. EL GRAN FRAN (ARG) - If you gander closely, this entrant has some longshot possibilities. Shows solid speed figures on average overall when compared with the rest of this group of horses in this race.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Louisiana Dns - Race #11

    Choice Plays:

    #7 CHANCELLOR M. H. (ML=15/1)
    #1 BIG THUNDER (ML=3/1)
    #6 LAYN THE SMACKDOWN (ML=7/2)
    #3 BLOCKED CALL (ML=6/1)

CHANCELLOR M. H. - Really think this fine animal is going to be really close at the finish. BIG THUNDER - You always have to be on the watch for profit making rider/conditioner duos; we have one right here. LAYN THE SMACKDOWN - This gelding won at this distance on May 16th and was at a higher class than today. You have to consider this thoroughbred in today's event. He has been claimed out of his last two races. Should do well right here. Weight shift of -6 from May 16th race at Louisiana Dns. BLOCKED CALL - Running over a familiar track, where he has won multiple times before, I have to put this one at the top of my list of choice plays. This colt might as well call Louisiana Dns home. Don't overlook how he races well over this venue.

    Vulnerable Contenders: #5 TRIPLE CARD (ML=9/5), #2 BUSHER'S CHAD (ML=6/1)

TRIPLE CARD - Hard to put your dough on this speedy one. Too much speed in the contest. BUSHER'S CHAD - Didn't end up on the board on March 30th at Tampa Bay. Followed it up with another lackluster outing.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      FIRST RACE:

5 PE QUENTE, a son of Stravinsky, shows four strong workouts, which includes a pair of three-furlong bullets, in preparation for the debut. Trainer Mike McDonald adds Lasix and jockey Phil Teator for this assignment. 2 PROUD CHAMP should attract attention at the betting terminals after rallying four-wide to finish second in his lifetime debut at this level and distance. Omar Klinger rides. 3 CROCKETT'S WAY is certainly eligible to improve after recovering from a slow start to finish third behind Proud Champ, which was his first race in more than 10 months. 4 VALIDATE, a son of Jules, hails from a barn that has done well at the session with first time starters. Trainer Dave Braddy gives Eddie Nunez the riding assignment.

      SELECTIONS: 5-2-3 LONGSHOT: 4

      SECOND RACE:

6 BERNARDO moved to the next level after drawing off, as the favorite, to break his maiden vs. bottom level types at the distance. Leading jock Eddie Castro is back aboard. 7 CODY'S CON dropped to the $10K level after finishing a troubled sixth (forced out stretch) against $14K two-lifetime claimers at the distance. Trainer Jerry Bozzo spots him perfectly with these. 4 SHADOWBLADE is facing winners after dueling from start-to-finish to break his maiden by a neck. Trainer Frank Carlisi has Paul Toscano handling the 4-year-old son of Meadow Flight. 3 WHISTL'N JACK responded to the drop in competition with a second place finish, at 14-1, at this level and distance. He belongs on the exotic ticket.

      SELECTIONS: 6-7-4 LONGSHOT: 3

      THIRD RACE:

7 DANSETTA LIGHT, a homebred daughter of Colony Light, out of the multiple stakes-producing dam Dolly's Back, shows eight local workouts, including a swift five-furlong drill on May 28, in preparation for her four and a half-furlong debut. Trainer Dave Brownlee adds Lasix on the half-sister to $750K-plus earner Captain Squire. 3 ACLASSYSASSYLASSY, a daughter of Wild Event, shows a blistering three-furlong bullet in :35 2/5 on May 28 in preparation for the debut. Trainer Dave Vivian Jr., who had a first-out 2-year-old winner on Monday (Actxeutive), tabs red-hot jock Manny Aguilar to ride. 6 LEGEND, a daughter of win-early sire Tale Of The Cat (21%), has trained well in preparation for the lifetime debut. The tote action should help point you in the right direction. 5 PLAN OF ATTACK, a half to stakes winner Groomstick Stock's, has trained consistently enough to be a factor in her lifetime debut.

      SELECTIONS: 7-3-6 LONGSHOT: 5

      FOURTH RACE:

6 STRIKE THREE dropped to the $16K level and stretches out to a mile and a half (the Belmont distance) after facing tougher in five starts this year (5-0-1-2). The son of Carson City, bred to handle this marathon distance, is the class of the field with his best. 2 ALUMNI stretches out to 12 furlongs after drawing clear, as the odds-on choice, to defeat $16K claimers in game fashion. 4 DON HECTOR is stepping up the competition after leading every step of the way to defeat $6,250 claimers by daylight. Look for the Don to try and steal this race on the front end. 1 CLOG DANCE, who won a mile and three-sixteenths race on the dirt in England, will try and beat the boys after failing to show much vs. her own kind on the turf. The daughter of Woodman, out of the Slew O' Gold mare Royal Fandango, is bred to run all day.

      SELECTIONS: 6-2-4 LONGSHOT: 1

      FIFTH RACE:

9 STARSHIP DEPUTY, who came within a head of exiting the maiden ranks at this level and distance on May 1, returns to the grass after failing to show anything in a maiden-allowance race on the dirt. He's the one to fear on the turf, and a throw out if the race shifts to the main track. 6 SPECIAL ANSWER is stretching out to nine furlongs after rallying strongly to hit the board in 2 of 3 turf races at slightly shorter distances. The added real estate should do wonders for the son of Sword Dance. 2 KIAWAH showed promise vs. better when he tried the turf here last October. Trainer Kathleen O'Connell lures leading jock Eddie Castro to handle the surface switch. 7 GOMER has license to improve after finishing sixth behind Starship Deputy, which was his first start in 15 months. The lightly raced son of Alysheba has trained well since his last.

      SELECTIONS: 9-6-2 LONGSHOT: 7

      SIXTH RACE:

1 RICH SILVER SWAN steps up to the $9K level after opening and relinquishing a five and a half-length lead vs. $6,250 claimers at a mile and a sixteenth. The son of Rizzi, 7-2-1-1 at a mile, breaks from the rail with Rosemary Homeister Jr. rationing his speed. 5 KEEN INTELLIGENCE, who stalked the pace and finished second at this level and distance on May 8, will be there to reap the spoils if Rich Silver Swan does another swan dive (pun intended) in the stretch. 8 DARNED BOLD, an eight-time winner here, and a three-time winner at this distance, should be along to grab a share of the exotic ticket. The hard-knocking 5-year-old, making his 58th start, has Abdiel Jaen in the irons. 2 HACAN is stretching out a mile after making up 13 lengths in the stretch to defeat $6,250 claimers at six and a half furlongs. He can help boost the superfecta payout.

      SELECTIONS: 1-5-8 LONGSHOT: 2

      SEVENTH RACE:

6 APRIL'S SHAWKLIT dropped to the $50K level and stretches out slightly after chasing the pace and faltering to finish fourth in a five-furlong maiden test vs. special weight competition. Trainer Laura Posada adds Lasix and Omar Klinger. 7 STAROOK, a son of Montbrook, shows two sharp local workouts in preparation for the debut. Trainer Ed Plesa Jr., having a strong meet with his juvenile runners, tabs Manny Aguilar to ride. 5 MECKE MY DAY drops a notch and stretches out after showing early interest and fading in his five-furlong debut. Jockey Eddie Castro gives him another chance, and I'm inclined to do the same. 4 LISA'S BUCK, a son of promising win-early sire Thats Our Buck (21%), has trained resolutely in preparation for the debut. Trainer Joe Calascibetta adds Lasix and Rosemary Homeister Jr. on the Lisa Voloshin homebred.

      SELECTIONS: 6-7-5 LONGSHOT: 4

      EIGHTH RACE:

4 MR. LIVINGSTON rediscovered his stakes form when he returned from the layoff to win the $75K mile and a sixteenth Carterista Handicap. The winner of 50% of his races at a mile (8-4-1-0) signaled he was ready for this assignment, with a bullet five-furlong drill on the grass. 1 JOEY BLUEEYES has been sidelined since he stalked the pace and tired to finish sixth in the 12-furlong Pan Am Handicap (G2) at Gulfstream (March 20). The son of Flying Pidgeon, 6-1-2-1 on this surface, is spotted perfectly vs. this caliber of competition. 6 MARCO'S WORD, third to Mr. Livingston in the Carterista, is back on the lawn after wiring $62.5K optional claimers on the main track. However, note that the winner of 50% of his races at the distance (6-3-0-1), must avoid a duel with equally swift Last Stand to offer his best. 2 UNBRIDELS KING turns back to a mile looking to secure a staking trip behind the aforementioned speed duel between Marco and Last Stand. Note the signature Ed Plesa Jr. one-mile drill for this assignment.

      SELECTIONS: 4-1-6 LONGSHOT: 2

      NINTH RACE:

10 STORMY JIM, a $160K son of High Yield, has trained solidly in preparation for his lifetime debut. Trainer Ed Plesa Jr. has Manny Aguilar atop this intriguing 2-year-old. 1 HAL'S IMAGE and 1A HURRICANE MIA will both wear blinkers after showing promise in their respective debuts. The former, a half to millionaire Hal's Hope, shows two sharp works since he hesitated at the start while the latter shows a bullet five-furlong drill, we assume with blinkers added, in preparation for the stretchout to five and a half furlongs. 4 CHEROKEE CHASE, a half to millionaire Smok'n Frolic, shows a series of sharp three, four, and five-furlong workouts in preparation for the debut. Don't ignore! 9 CAGNEY, a son of 1999 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Anees, out of the stakes-producing dam She's Realistic, has been sharp during training hours. Eddie Castro rides.

      SELECTIONS: 10-1-1A-4 LONGSHOT: 9

      TENTH RACE:

7 SKIPEROO is cutting back slightly to a mile and a sixteenth after rallying to finish second to red-hot More Bourb, a winner of three straight on the grass. 3 PUBLIC ADDRESS steadied entering the turn when finishing third to More Bourb and Skiperoo last out. The son of Victory Speech, 3 for 3 in the money at the distance, gets a jock switch to Eddie Castro. 9 PAM'S WILDCAT looked like a wildcat when broke on the lead and drew off to win his career turf debut by eight-plus lengths. The speedy son of Forest Wildcat will be tested for class in his first start vs. winners. 8 MAXINKUCKEE makes his south Florida debut the first start since breaking his maiden on the turf at Tampa. Trainer Kirk Ziadie, winning races at a 38% rate (6 for 16), has his go-to jock Emanuel Cosme trying to spring the upset.

      SELECTIONS: 7-3-9 LONGSHOT: 8

      ELEVENTH RACE:

2 TEMPERS RISING boasts back-to-back five-furlong bullets since rallying three-wide to finish second best in a $16K optional claimer at a mile. The gelding, a five-time winner at this distance (16-5-3-2), is sitting on a big performance. 1 QUANACO will depart from the rail after surrendering a commanding three and a half-length lead to finish second in his recent outing from Post 6. The colt, improving since the addition of blinkers, should be a serious speed threat. 5 ABATARES will step up into the allowance fray after back-to-back claiming victories at seven furlongs. Note that trainer Pablo Andrade has a strong 28% win average with horses stretching from a sprint to a route. 7 GROOVY FORTUNE is back on the main track after a troubled (bumped, steadied) outing on the grass. The sophomore, 3 for 3 in the money at the distance, can spring an upset with his best.

      SELECTIONS: 2-1-5 LONGSHOT: 7

      TWELFTH RACE:

7 POKEY PINE is stretching out to a mile after knocking heads with some of the better maiden-allowance sprinters on the grounds. Trainer Steve Standridge, a winner with 4 of last 20 horses (20%) stretching out in distance, has Rosie Homeister Jr. atop the son of Wolf Power. 2 ACTXPEDITE turns back to eight panels after finishing an improved second when blinkers were added for his recent outing at a mile and a sixteenth. The second start with the shades can be a winning experience. 8 PROUD MICHAEL ran into a buzz saw named Alarm On The Farm when finishing distant second in his first-ever race around two turns. Eddie Castro gets the return call. 6 DURKIN'S CALL is stretching out after weakening to finish fourth in what should prove to be a useful outing over the demanding Calder main track. The New York shipper gets a jock switch to Abdiel Toribio.

      SELECTIONS: 7-2-8 LONGSHOT: 6

      THIRTEENTH RACE:

9 SMARTY JONES looked the part of a Triple Crown winner when he toyed with the competition and won the Preakness Stakes by a record margin (11 1/2 lengths). The equine edition of Rocky will be odds-on to win the Belmont. 2 PURGE, no match for Smarty in the Arkansas Derby and the Rebel, signaled he was ready for the rematch with a monster performance in Belmont's Peter Pan. The son of Pulpit has the benefit of a race over the track. 5 ROCK HARD TEN, a distant second to Smarty Jones in the Preakness, is eligible to show more in only his fifth career start. Alex Solis gets the call. 1 MASTER DAVID taken back to last in the Peter Pan before rallying to finish third, will use that performance as a stepping stone for this marathon 12-furlong distance. Trainer Bobby Frankel names has Jose Santos atop the son of Grand Slam.

      SELECTIONS: 9-2-5 LONGSHOT: 1

BEST BET: RACE 10 - SKIPEROO

        Arlington :

        Saturday, June 5

Race 1: FORAFEWDOLLARSMORE has been racing competitively since returning from a year-long layoff. Runs as though he’ll relish the nine-furlong distance. The drop in class could be the icing on the cake. SPICY PROSPECTOR has been most successful on turf and on off tracks. Won two of four since getting claimed by this barn. Drops and switches back to the main track. Should be very tough. RESIDENT ROGUE won his last going away. He’s been the most successful at the distance, winning in two of six tries. Meets better here than he faced in last couple but his win in last suggests a return to form.

Race 2: WILD WOJO displayed speed in every start so far but that zip could be tempered a bit with the turn back in distance. There are plenty in here with speed. He might be able to track them early and, this time, finish full of run. WENDELL’S SHADOW has been right there in all but his debut race. Has been beaten as the favorite in five straight races. Could finally make amends. IN BOCCA AL LUPO drops for his local debut. Didn’t show a lot in previous starts but had been racing on a tougher circuit. Should be more effective in this spot.

Race 3: ESKIMOBELLE raced well despite a slight step up in class and a stretch in distance in her first start after getting claimed by this barn. Could be far tougher today with the drop and the turn back. BIANGOOD was overmatched versus allowance company in last but won her last conditioned claiming event in fine fashion. Drops back to a level which suits her better. Should awaken. ROSIE’S WISH was another who was overmatched in last but another who should show more with the drop back to the right spot.

Race 4: COFFEE HOUSE raced well, as the choice, in her career debut. Finished second in that race despite bleeding. Gets Lasix today. Royally-bred filly seems likely to graduate. MISS ME BABY has been training very well for her debut. This barn does very well with their babies. COLVILLE ZEAL is bred to win early. Good workout pattern, especially that bullet three-furlong blowout in last, suggests she’s ready to roll. MISS TEJAS doesn’t show a lot but her trainer has an excellent record with both first timers and 2-year-olds.

Race 5: RIVERBROOK tired in her local debut but she faced far more speed in that race and she fought for the lead for much of it. Could be the quickest of these. The trip over the track should help greatly. BANGBANGONTHEDOOR raced competitively in last despite coming off a layoff to make her local debut. Should be in far better condition for this race. Beaten favorite of last can make amends. COLD FRONT hasn’t shown a thing against winners but she did have trouble at the start in both of those races. Guessing she’ll show far more if she can get away cleanly.

Race 6: FORTUNISTIC has been training brilliantly for her debut. This barn wins with about 29% of their first timers and both her trainer and her jockey are off to good starts at this meet. The race is wide open but she seems to be the one to beat. KILLING M SOFTLY made a huge move to narrowly miss in her career debut. That race might have been against state breds and she’s facing open company today she’s bred to love the stretch in distance, her trainer does well with those making their second start, and she already showed that she could handle more real estate. MY CAT’S MEOW makes her first start of the year but has been training very well for her return. Displayed good tactical speed in the past. Would imagine that she’ll be tracking the early leaders today. LANLICIA made a nice move in her local debut but wasn’t able to sustain it through the stretch. But, that was only her second career start. Could be far tougher the third time around. Both CROSSFIELD and GRANNY’S PRIDE ship in from tougher meets. Both have been exclusively sprinters. Both are bred to go long. Hard to ignore either of them.

Race 7: VIVA PENTELICUS drops a few levels for his local debut. Drew outside but he looks like the only real speed in the field. Guessing he’ll clear them early and simply coast along on the lead. FLAMIN’ JOLIE disappointed as the lukewarm favorite in last but it was his first start of the year. Was claimed from that spot by a trainer who wins with 35% of his claims the first time out. Drops to a better level, also a common move for this barn. Should wake up. GROUND HERO drops into claimers for the first time. Raced very well in all of his turf starts. Figures prominently. CHARTWELL is often in the hunt. Could come on late to share. G ALL DAY hasn’t shown much for quite awhile but he has plenty of past class, he’s dropping a notch, and he’s making his second start off a layoff. Can awaken.

Race 8: LIVELY MINISTER isn’t in the best of form but he’s taking a much-needed drop and getting into a race that should have a great early pace. Watch for this late runner to be steered to the outside in the stretch and start rolling late. TIGER SIX has been great on this track and great at the distance. Wire-to-wire winner of last could be the best of the speed but might have plenty of company on the front end. ORPHAN CARTWRIGHT owns decent speed but he’s likely to be tracking the pace in the early going. Beaten odds-on favorite in last could be in the right spot to make amends. UN GALITO is a total unknown. Apparently hasn’t raced since ’92. Was unbeaten in his native Argentina but not sure how he’ll fare in the US.

Race 9: UP ANCHOR makes his first start since January but he has been training well for a sharp conditioner. Late runner finds himself in a race filled with early speed. Meets easier here than he had in his last couple of stakes races. Could run by late at a square price. WILD EVENURE raced very well in most of his starts though this will be the first time he’s trying the turf. Won his only previous two-turn races. Switch to the turf is the only unknown. PRIMM is likely to go right for the lead. Has been right there in every one of his turf races. Could get over the top in this one. SALTIRE raced competitively in previous grass events. Game winner, on the dirt, in his local debut posted two good workouts since. The switch back to turf shouldn’t slow him down a bit. MARLEY’S REVENGE tries turf and two turns for the first time but this stakes winner is bred to handle both. Can’t be taken too lightly.

Race 10: AWESOME DEDUCTION owns a modest turf pedigree but she’s been running very well since they stretched her out and her trainer excels with his turf runners. Will be tough if she gets into the race. PLEASANT SANDS raced very well in most of her starts versus state breds. Late runner showed better than usual speed in her last. Just missed in that race. Could get over the top in this one. DESIRABLEDANCER is a come from the clouds closer who is usually in the hunt late. Doesn’t win a lot but she earns a lot of paychecks. SUPERDUMAAN graduated in last, her first race in 10 months. Seems likely to move up from that trip. Could be a factor right back.

        G.L.

          Churchill Downs :

          Churchill Downs Race Five

OCEAN SILK lays all over this bunch by the numbers and should clear the N2X allowance condition here under new jockey Shane Sellers, who has had a lot of success with trainer Pat Byrne in the past. The daughter of Dynaformer is looking to rebuild confidence at the allowance level before resuming her assault on the stakes ranks. The expected pace of the race should flatter her and lead to a convincing win. Anything over even money is fair value here.

Let's play #5 OCEAN SILK to win at 1-1 or greater. Suggest a trifecta part wheel using #'s 5 / 1-4 / ALL - which will cost $14 for each $1 bet if none scratch.

          Churchill Downs Race Six

SHARK has the pedigree and connections to be a stakes horse as a juvenile and bears watching in his debut. The son of Danzig is out of a Seattle Slew mare and has been breezing quickly for his debut. Trainer D. Wayne Lukas is legendary for his work with juveniles and could have a star in the making here. Today is probably the only chance to get a decent price here - so jump on board.

Let's play #7 SHARK to win at 9-5 or greater. Let's start a pick three part wheel using #'s 7 / ALL / 3 - which will cost $13 for each $1 bet if none scratch from the middle leg, which does contain one AE.

Churchill Downs Race Eight -- The Kentucky Breeders' Cup

MAXIMUS C is a great looking prospect for Dale Romans who ran a bang up race in his debut to win by a nose in very quick time. Handled the sloppy track well that day but has trained well on dry dirt as well. The choice figures to provide slightly more value than probable favorite LUNARPAL, who is probably as good as he is going to get. Just see more upside in MAXIMUS C and he should be able to score the minor upset here.

Let's play #3 MAXIMUS C to win at 9-5 or greataer. Suggest a straight exacta using #'s 3-5.

Churchill Downs Race Ten -- The Dogwood Breeders' Cup

ENDER'S SISTER is a standout in here and should win the rescheduled race with ease with her best try. The race seems to be for second place and it is very close behind her.

Let's play #2 ENDER'S SISTER to win at 6-5 or greater. Let's try an exacta wheel using #'s 2 / ALL.

              Result : 3rd: Resident Roge / 4th: ForafewDollarsMore

Race 2: WILD WOJO displayed speed in every start so far but that zip could be tempered a bit with the turn back in distance. There are plenty in here with speed. He might be able to track them early and, this time, finish full of run. WENDELL’S SHADOW has been right there in all but his debut race. Has been beaten as the favorite in five straight races. Could finally make amends. IN BOCCA AL LUPO drops for his local debut. Didn’t show a lot in previous starts but had been racing on a tougher circuit. Should be more effective in this spot.

Result : 3rd: Wild Wojo / 4th: In Bocca Al Lupo

Race 3: ESKIMOBELLE raced well despite a slight step up in class and a stretch in distance in her first start after getting claimed by this barn. Could be far tougher today with the drop and the turn back. BIANGOOD was overmatched versus allowance company in last but won her last conditioned claiming event in fine fashion. Drops back to a level which suits her better. Should awaken. ROSIE’S WISH was another who was overmatched in last but another who should show more with the drop back to the right spot.

              Result : 1st: Rosies Wish /

Race 4: COFFEE HOUSE raced well, as the choice, in her career debut. Finished second in that race despite bleeding. Gets Lasix today. Royally-bred filly seems likely to graduate. MISS ME BABY has been training very well for her debut. This barn does very well with their babies. COLVILLE ZEAL is bred to win early. Good workout pattern, especially that bullet three-furlong blowout in last, suggests she’s ready to roll. MISS TEJAS doesn’t show a lot but her trainer has an excellent record with both first timers and 2-year-olds.

              Results : 3rd: Coffee House

Race 5: RIVERBROOK tired in her local debut but she faced far more speed in that race and she fought for the lead for much of it. Could be the quickest of these. The trip over the track should help greatly. BANGBANGONTHEDOOR raced competitively in last despite coming off a layoff to make her local debut. Should be in far better condition for this race. Beaten favorite of last can make amends. COLD FRONT hasn’t shown a thing against winners but she did have trouble at the start in both of those races. Guessing she’ll show far more if she can get away cleanly.

Game winner, on the dirt, in his local debut posted two good workouts since. The switch back to turf shouldn’t slow him down a bit.

                SELECTIONS: 6-7-4 LONGSHOT: 3 ( Finished 2654 )

                SELECTIONS: 7-3-6 LONGSHOT: 5 ( Finished 354 )

                Results : 1st: Aclassysassylass / 2nd: Plan of Attack

                SELECTIONS: 6-2-4 LONGSHOT: 1 ( Finished 3467 )

                Results : 2nd: Don Hector / 3rd: Srtike Three

                SELECTIONS: 9-6-2 LONGSHOT: 7 ( Finished 9651 )

                Results : 1st: Starship Deputy / 2nd: Special Answer

                SELECTIONS: 1-5-8 LONGSHOT: 2 ( Finished 1382 )

                Results : 1st: Rich Silver Swan / 3rd: Darned Bold / 4th: Harcan

                SELECTIONS: 6-7-5 LONGSHOT: 4 ( Finished 1746 )

                Results : 2nd: Starook / 3rd: Lisas Buck / 4th: Aprils Shawklit

                SELECTIONS: 4-1-6 LONGSHOT: 2 ( Finished 3261 )

                Results : 2nd: Unbridles King / 3rd: Marcos Word / 4th: Joey Blueeyes

                SELECTIONS: 10-1-1A-4 LONGSHOT: 9 ( Finished 2741 )

                Results : 3rd: Cherokee Chase / 4th: Hals Image

                SELECTIONS: 7-3-9 LONGSHOT: 8 ( Finished 7-10-94 )

                Results : 1st: Skiperoo / 3rd: Pams Wildcat

                Of 48 projected runners

                1st: 6 Winners

                2nd: 8 Placers

                3rd: 8 Showers

                4th: 7 (Super Finishers)

29 of these horses finished in the money , for right @ 61 % of them . Not the best I have ever done by no means and not even close to yesterdays outcome . Of course there is always a small % of real longshots (thats why they pay so well) and its a tough job to nail those with any consistancy (3% at best) .

But I will at least try to publish numbers that anyone can use or not , and every once in a while slip a 75.00 winner in the fold (not often ) Hope if nothing else we are learning from this !
