  • Question?

    I'm new to horse betting.

My question is if I choose a trifecta box with 1,2,3, and just the 1 or 2 come in is that a winner?

Or do they all have to w/p/s?

Or what would be the best wagering method to start off with being a beginner?

This forum is great for advise and feedback.

    Thanks in advance.

    ItsBill :

Tri (meaning3 ) boxed can cross the line in any order ...... but all three have to be leading at the line my friend .

Check out my wagering 101 thread at the top of the page , it will gicve you a rough idea ?

If you box three horses, all of the horses must finish in the 123/w/p/s positions, for a triple

        Thanks Wiz and Memphis!

The race 101 is very helpful. I wanted to double check my understanding.

I have been using both of your picks in my selections for W/P/S and have been doing real well. Now that the excitement in winning is getting stronger I wanted to expand my wagering. More of a risk but the pay out will be a lot more.

Again thank you both for your HUGE contributions to this forum.
