Earnings per start in dirt route races is strong for this animal. Meeting a much less demanding field of horses than last time out. HOUSTON ASTRO - In against a much softer field of horses than last time out. FINAL FINALE - Has been racing quite well and has among the best speed in the race for today's distance. The big drop in class can only aid this one this time around.

SOCIANO is my choice. Is tough not to consider based on Equibase Speed Figures which have been very good - 78 avg - of late. Win percentage one of the strongest in this group of horses. Had one of the best speed figures of this group in his last race. T. J.'S GLORY - Has garnered reliable Equibase Speed Figures in dirt sprint races in the past. Romeka has a strong win percent with horses running in dirt sprint races. THINK CAPER - Rose has a strong winning percentage with horses running in dirt sprint races.

Mullens drops this one in today for only his 2nd contest. Should do better than last out.

IMPETUOUS BELL - Bourque rode this horse for the first time last time around the track and comes right back today. This front running sort should profit from this race's shorter distance. Ran a winning race May 14th, but just couldn't haul in the victor. Taking a trip down the class ladder; has the capability to make her presence felt. This filly is in fine physical condition. Ran second on May 14th.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 SMOKE STREAM (ML=9/2), #9 BROADCASTING (ML=9/2), #8 BLUSHING WILDLY (ML=6/1)

SMOKE STREAM - I don't possess a 'use' sensation about this runner in this clash. BROADCASTING - Difficult to wager on any mount in a sprint race at 9/2 when she hasn't shown any competitive efforts in sprints in the last two months. I'd like to see more conducive recent efforts with M/L odds of 9/2. BLUSHING WILDLY - Can't bet on this steed in today's sprint of 5 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't even hit the board in a sprint contest recently. Couldn't make up any ground whatsoever on Sep 1st. Hard to play this time around at the expected odds.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Hal - IMPETUOUS BELL - This filly has the best last speed figure at Louisiana Dns. Must be considered in your speculating.
