Horse question

I have been following a horse waiting to bet it.. Lucky Leo is the horse. It ran at Santa Anita now that meet is over. But it just worked out there on May 2. Had a pretty good workout too by the way. 5 furlongs at 59:00. Why is this horse working out at Santa Anita still. Shouldn't it be working out at the track it will be running at?

Doesn't have to leo dont let that distract you if you like the horse santa anita is a great place to train that isnt all that unusual.

Training

While some southern California trainers move their stables back and forth between Hollywood and Santa Anita, some remain at the same track year round.

For example, top trainer Bobby Frankel keeps his horses at Hollywood Park even when racing has shifted to Santa Anita. He simply ships across town the day of the race.

Some trainers do send horses over to the other track for a workout if they have a race upcoming, particularly if it's a big race but most think it's a waste of time.

Ok Yeah you guys were alot of help. Thanks. I will post a thread when the horse runs so you can know. I watched it for awhile but hasn't done too well. Real good on turf. But has alot of speed.

horse will most likely run at hollywood park this is my fav circuit of meets - hollywood, del mar and santa anita...let me know if ya see lucky leo runnin, i'll keep an eye out too...also i used to know bout a site that u can enter horse's name and u will receive an email when that horse is on race card...i'll have to look up which site and let ya know it makes things lot easier...if P-Val is jockey we're cashin for sure

I love going down to santa anita and hollywood and have gotten to know the horses and jockeys there p val is great but victor espinoza will always be my favorite.

Hollywood park brought back $1 nights every friday night- thats one dollar hot dogs, sodas and most of all beer. Makes for a great time.

man sounds like a blast the only experience for me is from watchin on TVG and in past goin to OTB and bettin...those are places i need to get to, i enjoy watchin those meets by far compared to others but do like churchill, saratoga, belmont, aqueduct, gulfstream....those west coast ones i mean cmon now where surf meets turf just beautiful and also hot chicks that goto those places doesnt get better than that....i live in cleveland, ohio we have thistledown which sucks, i dont even pay attention at all to those races if i go there i only goto bet other tracks, i might take a walk outside to catch a live race but never bet on them....i'm only 24 i guess i have time to do some travelin...i'm better at bettin on football and hoops but have been goin to track w/ dad long as i can remember and he does really good so its fun i enjoy followin....espinoza is good too i like alot of jocks out there just superior to others....fan of smith, krone, p-val, nakatani, etc....i mean day, bailey, john valasquez, some others are great but just somethin bout the west coast competition stands out for me....thanks for feedback take care

I have the site it is www.drf.com I am watching several horses right now. Just waiting on them. Had one going the other day but got scratched at Delaware. It will be going withing the next week I believe. I will let all know.
