            Wiz :

With extoic wage calculator in hand , and watching the live tote board , I found myself looking at what seemed to me a glaring mistake by as we call him now John Q Public . They had left a few hounds very short , that in my original post I thought had a very fair chance to win it outright .

My post had the dogs ranked in my order :

            R15 - 84376

8 was a crowd fav (as usual) and the 1 also (John Q loves this box) and the day I was having led me to thinking that I could splurge a bit and at least still go to bed a huge winner . My wager consisted of a $2 variety and cost 144.00 and looked like :

            48/3478/34678/1234678

I left the 5 dog out all together because he was #1 not a breaker at all , #2 had very poor vart`s , and my data showed him to be slow of foot by my speed ratings. And in this crowd I figured him to be 6th at best (with a prayer).

The rest is history and I am going to feel much better now about those 3 new duallys I just purchased (had to have them) and my accountant is going to love me (for another week).

Anyways , thanks for the kudos and You yourself had a very nice day also . I hope you got my info on those jockeys in question , if not let me know ?

                iggy :

I get several signers a year , but of this magnitude " Not "

I was simply put , one hot son-of-a-gun yesterday and you never seem to know when these type things are going to happen. I had a signer 2 years ago at Hollywood for 6012.00 on a straight $2 wager for a Tri in which I was playing around and got lucky. I dont think this is the case here because as I watched the board I thought to myself ..... this could be big .

It goes a long way when your the only ticket holder in a race like this , and Uncle Sam was right there waiting to get his share . Anyway now that thats over Im sure I wont see another for a while (unless the horses keep treating me well ?) and I am looking into a little time off so I could be gone for a while.

No doubt in my mind that your help here will carry the day , and by the way ? Where were you for a few days recently ?

I missed ya and was wondering if everything was alright :D

                  MMM

Was tied up with family things and such, and didn;t have much time to crunch the numbers over the weekend. Dubuque opens this weekend, and I'm going to try to get there and watch 'em live!

My biggest signer was a 3K super on an $8 bet, and while back. Lots of little ones in the 1,200 range, but not 10k ones.

Trying to figure things out at some of the parks in the NE. In looking at my figures, that seems to be my weak spot, especally Raynham. On average I'm hitting 25% winners, 39% Quin, and 18% on the tri, but there, I'm a good 5% below that a Raynham. Can't pin point it, right on my averages at Lincoln, Seabrook, Planfield, and above at Wonderland.

Do you have tracks that of whatever reason, just can;t seem to hit?

                    iggy :

                    " Yes "

and there are reasons for it if we look beneath the surface .

I will post a news note of mine here in answer to that because I already have it written up .

                    Later :
