If you are going to bet both i would bet half of what you usually bet on a sport so if u usually bet 100 on a game bet 50$ on each horse.
RACE 3 #6 IS A GREAT BET IF YOU CAN GET HIM AT 5-1 or higher but i would watch and see if #5 gets bet at all that horse just raced 6 days ago and back in jan he came back once after 8 days and came in 3rd at 33-1 so if he gets below his morning line of 6-1 i would box the 5 and 6
race 8 #4 at 2-1 he doesnt have much value especially since the #5 horse had a much better race last time but he is also set up for a bounce but thats a coint toss if he does or doesnt so its a very risky bet especially if you only get 2-1(personally i never bet anything to win below 5-1)
I'm not a handicapper, I get info. I don't try to break a race down and second guess the info I get. As far as #4 Lila Paige goes at 2-1, the horse is actualy the third choice in the race, so 2-1 m/l shouldn't be that bad at post time, probably more like 7-2

************, how good is the info typically. i understand your not a horse handicapper, but how often do the tips on horses win for you? thanks for any response.
as far as betting these horses: there's very little value to betting the 2-1 favorite to place or to show, so i'd say you'd have to bet him straight to win if you're going to do it. the 6-1 horse (in the third race), guess they're would be value in betting it to place or show (i'm not good at guessing values but maybe 2-1 to place-come in second- and less for show-come in third). the poster a couple places up recommeneded you betting half your normal sports wageer ---to win, not show, place-- on each horse, that seems pretty reasonable. and if you bet equal amounts on each to win, and the info results in one winner out of two you can do no worse than break even or win 4x money on these odds. as far as how to place these wagers, the sportsbook i use - pinnacle-- offers horse racing and i'd bet that others do too. there are also off track betting sites around (in northeast) where you can place money in person or over the phone on all races all over the country. hope this helps carbomike.
I live in Saratoga NY, in my years I have met some people, trainers, owners, jocks, hot walkers, ect
If you know anything about horses or sports gambling, you should know there is no such thing as a sure thing. The info I get pays off in the long run, very rarely do they run out. It is getting so the odds are not that great any more. My best in the past year was an $87 horse.
thanx wizardofodds. yeah i realize there's no sure thing, i just wanted to know if there's any track record for success with the information you receive. and i'm sure that there is (saw in another thread that you recently had a straight winner posted). and today, the 6 finished in the money, so thanks. and having wathced my father get some good info from trainers, and owners etc i know that there is such things as good inside info - although no sure things. thanks again.
