  • Dart's Upset of the Year

    August 25, 2016

Phil Taylor suffered a shocking first-round exit at the 2016 Perth Darts Masters losing 6-2 to little-known local player Corey Cadby.

The two-time defending champion split the first four legs with Cadby before losing four on the bounce as his opponent put together a masterclass on the doubles.

That is like your local golf club pro from "your home town" defeating Tiger Woods in his prime.

    RhodyJoe Why Those Sports...Cricket, really?

Yes Cricket, yes Rugby, yes Darts, and yes Russian Hockey. And the beat goes on.

It started in 1960 when I was in what we then called Junior High School. A group of truly amateur U.S.hockey players defeated a "Soviet Union" {USSR} hockey team called ameteur (but were truly Soviet Union pros) that was considered by many to be the best hockey team in the world for the Gold Medal in the 1960 Winter Olympics. I was an avid fan of my local American Hockey team The Providence Reds so the Americans winning the Gold really got my hockey juices going. I wanted to know more about this "Soviet Union" {USSR} hockey team and what league they play in an how many team are there in the Soviet Union and on and on.

From that quest I was introduced over the years into the European Sports and other games that were not played much if at all in the States. When I transitioned to gambling it was a natural for me to waged on Handball or European Hockey and etc. Eventually I found out that I was earning more money on the non US sports then on the traditional four or five American sports that most American wager on at their books.

Over the years my handicapping system has evolved into a computer heavy numbers ladden system. My system is very effective with the European sports.

While I love the four major American sports, I will bet on spit if it is legal and I can figure out a way to make money on it.

The key to making money on European sports is one...finding the right books that carry these "odd" sports and of course getting good wagering picks.

Oh yes, the time differential can be tricky to.
