    Easy Meak, was at my local track, Mountaineer Park..... played a $ 1 superfecta and split it with friends , thus it became a .10 cent super for me... but we actually hit a $ 1 super...

    had a great time collecting, not to question your question, but I list my plays and play em, and post the results... no fudging anything here...

    could have said I hit a $ 1 super, but just being honest..... best of luck to you

          Wayne and Dakota,

          Let me clear some things up, and hopefully help you guys out with some future wagers... sorry about the confusion.

          Here were my selections as listed ;

          1st Tier; ( will play these horses to WPS, and on top and boxed with the other selections I have on exactas, tris and superfectas )

          2 - Icebox
          4 - Super Saver
          12 - Conveyance
          16 - Awesome Act

          2nd Tier; ( will add these horses to the undercard of my exotics, and wheels )

          1 - Lookin at Lucky
          6 - Stately Victor
          10 - Paddy O Prado
          13 - Jackson Bend
          14 - Mission Impazible
          17 - Dublin
          18 - Backtalk
          20 - Sidney’s Candy

          Here is how I play these selections;

          Let’s say that I am just wagering $ 2 tickets on all of these plays since the payouts are for $ 2 tickets.

          1st Tier ; ( will play these horses to WPS, and on top and boxed with the other selections I have on exactas, tris and superfectas )

          $2 WPS across the board on each horse ............................................. cost $ 24

          $ 2 exacta box on the four horses ( 2, 4,12,16 ).................................. cost $ 24

          $ 2 trifecta box on the four horses ( 2,4,12,16 )................................. cost $ 48

          $2 superfecta box on the four horses ( 2,4,12,16 ................................ cost $ 48

          ( so I am covering all combinations with my top choices )

          2nd Tier ; ( will add these horses to the undercard of my exotics, and wheels )

          - now I use all of these horses in the 3rd place of my trifectas and 3rd and 4th place of superfecta tickets with "all" wheel tickets also . I have been playing the ponies for more than 40 years now, and maybe I did not explain myself properly, thinking everyone knows what a “wheel” wager is.

          - when I say wheel, I mean to place these tickets or combinations with “all” of the remaining horses even the ones I do not select ( even horses that I say that have no chance ), to cover all of the angles and combos that might come in. This way, as long as your Key Horses come in, you are guaranteed to hit the wager.

          $2 trifecta 2,4,12,16 with 2,4,12,16 with 1,6,10,13,14,17,18, 20........ cost $ 192

          And here all the superfecta plays ( for a 20 horse field )... cost some cash for a full field like this.... but the Super pays a bundle if you can hit it....

          $2 superfecta 2,4,12,16 with 2,4,12,16 with 1,6,10,13,14,17,18, 20 with ‘all’........ cost $ 3264 wheel

          $2 superfecta 2,4,12,16 with 2,4,12,16 with ‘all’ with 1,6,10,13,14,17,18, 20....... cost $ 3264 wheel

          What I am trying to do is to have 2 of my top four choices ( 2,4,12,16 ) to come in first and second.... and to have 1 of my other selections ( 2nd tier selections ) to come in 3rd or 4th.... when that happens you SWEEP the Board.. So I am keying some horses , just like one would key a certain team in parlays etc.... As you can easily see, I place a lot of wagers on the Derby and the Preakness, Belmont and the Breders Cup Day... Really love this stuff..

          The Superfecta cost a bundle with 20 horse field, but what I like to do in the Belmont especially if there are 10 horses or less starting is to box all combinations together, so you will win the Super guaranteed, just have to hope it pays well, and it normally does....

          So what will a two dollar investment pay for all of this, let's see........

          Cost of all wagers............ $ 6894

          Payouts............. wps on # 4 ( $ 32.80 )
          .........................ps on # 2 ( $ 19.20 )
          ......................... exacta ( $ 152.40 )
          ......................... trifecta ( $ 2337.40 )
          ......................... superfecta ( $ 202,569.20 )

          total payouts................. $ 204906.60 ( not too shabby )

          Have a good one fellows,

                Wayne,

                When I said ( will add these horses to the undercard of my exotics, and wheels ) after my second tier of selections, that is what a wheel means........ you add all other horses in the race, thus hitting the 'all' button by saying wheel... a wheel always adds all of the other horses.

                I'll keep you informed about how to play the Preakness for under 100, or the Belmont which may be better payouts...
