i live 30min from the track. I typically try to attend but it has been raining here sense last night. temps in the low 60's. its miserable.

SARATOGA SPRINGS — In seven career starts, Travers runner Warrior’s Reward has two wins, three seconds and a third place finish. In his last start, he was second — beaten 2 1/4 lengths by Kensei — in the Jim Dandy.

When asked if he was expecting his horse to rebound in the Travers, trainer Ian Wilkes didn’t take long to answer.

“No rebound,” he said. “I expect him to run big, I really think he was going forward in the Jim Dandy.”

Warrior’s Reward is 8-1 on the morning line but Wilkes doesn’t think the horse is being overlooked.

“Even if he is, that’s ok, he can’t read the odds,” Wilkes said. “I haven’t taught him that yet. Hey, you’ve got to have fun. If you don’t have fun, you can’t enjoy it.”
