Kentucky Derby: Turn $100 into $3000 and other best bets

Here's my best approach to the Derby. Play a $100 $1 pick four ticket, starting with Race 8 and ending with the Derby.

I'm singling #7 Ballymore Lady in the 8th.....
Using five in the wide open ninth: #2, 3, 5, 7 and 9......
Using five more in the tough tenth: #1, 2, 3, 4 and 6.....
And playing my top four in the Derby: #5, 6, 10 and 15

If Ballymore Lady doesn't win the eighth, I'll bet another $100 on a pick three starting in the ninth using the same above horses.

If I get knocked out in the ninth, I'll play a $5 daily double using my above horses for another $100.

My Derby Pick, in order, after going back and forth all week:

#6 Friesan Fire
#5 Hold Me Back
#15 Dunkirk
#10 Regal Ransom

My two best bets on Churchill's card:

Race 4
#5 Ziegfeld

Race 8
#7 Ballymore Lady

My best longshot:

And, my two best bets ANYWHERE IN AMERICA:

Charles Town Race 4
Play #3 Spindini
Dropping back to a level he won at and stretching to his winning distance

Mountaineer Race 5
Play #1 Bombay
He ran awful at the same distance from the 10-hole, a disastrous post at this track. Moving inside to the #1 hole makes all the difference.

I've never bet the derby before but I would love to just want to know what exactly i'm doing:

Ballymore lady has to win, then one of the five in the 9th - 10th - 11th have to win?

$100 pays $3000 on that?

I didn't get a price either.

I am pissed I should be alive in the pick4 but didn't replace a scratched horse like I should have.
