I had a big day last Saturday. While hitting only one of four races, the winner was a 9-1 shot in a Saratoga stakes. I've got a four pack today and there's a theme---three of them are midwestern horses shipping in to other tracks for big stakes races.
Saratoga Race 6 Play #9 Can't Buy Love

PICK IS FOR TURF ONLY. There's a decent amount of pace in this turf sprint for New York bred maidens. My horse is shortening all the way back from a mile to 5 1/2 furlongs and should show a nice closing kick.
Saratoga Race 10 Gr. 1 Test Play #2 Palanka City
Bet $25 to win and place
All the money will be on Baffert's Indian Blessing but my horse is a legit sleeper. She's won five of ten races, mostly in the midwest, and is coming off a 2 1/2 month freshening after winning the Grade 3 Miss Preakness in a romp. Look for big improvement on the trainer switch to Tagg.

This is a stakes for two year old fillies. My pick romped in her only other start at Lone Star. She should go off as no more than the third choice in this tiny six horse field.

I'm going for the big upset here, trying to knock off unbeaten Zenyatta, regarded as the best filly or mare in the country. My pick is four-for-five and making her second start at age four. She flashed brilliance last year and romped in a Churchill Downs allowance in her only race this year. Zenyatta is a deep closer and my horse is going to get the jump on her and, hopefully, hang on.
