  • Saturday 5/24 Spot Plays

YTD: +$557 (based on $50-100 per play)

I went two-for-two last week to keep these plays solidly in the black for the year. I've got three strong ones today and a couple of others I'll toss out as opinions but won't count in my record.

Churchill Downs Race 8 Play #3 Drew S
Bet $35 to win and place
This horse drops way down in class to a cheap 5K claimer. While she's better on grass, nobody else in here is very good at all and there isn't much pace for her to contend with either.

Belmont Park Race 10 Play #6 Victory Sign
Bet $40 to win and place
This horse has been running against much tougher in allowance company at Santa Anita, Hollywood and Keeneland and now drops into a claimer restricted to horses with only two career wins. Gomez is riding better on the grass right now than anyone in America.

Arlington Park Race 10 Play #7 Buddha Pass
Bet $50 to win and place
All systems go here: the horse is 5-for-7 win or place in his career....he had a monster workout 13 days ago.....he moves from open companhy in Florida to Illinois-breds....he gets in light with a ten-pound apprentice who is only getting live mounts......the owner/trainer are huge off the claim.

    Opinions only:
Belmont Race 1 Play #2 Golden Blaise
Arlington Park Race 11 Play #9 Frank Joseph

      Good Luck Gris.

At Churchill Bellafina may give Drew S a race, but like the call. I have been off at Belmont so far, but that is a hard race to call and 12 and 8 look tough.

      Good Luck again

                  Recap

I sure needed Buddha Pass at Arlington as the Churchill and Belmont horses were off the board.

Buddha Pass paid 4.60 and 3.20 for a $95 profit on the race. i ended the day down -$55.

                  My YTD is now +$502.

Chung: The Arlington track seemed to be playing very fast and even the turf times were unusually fast; I don't know why.

there were some really good horses running at arlington today, the pletcher ,i think it was meal penalty looked awesome, set blistering fractions and held on,he also won on the front on the cushion track at keeneland which favors closers-MONSTER HORSE,and like i said, the horse in the 9th and buddha pass both looked impressive coming home !! !!
