Bet $100 on Visionaire to win Kentucky Derby

I haven't been this excited about a Derby future bet, well, ever. This is a huge price on a horse with a major chance to win the race. The biggest negative is that Visionaire is still on the bubble in terms of getting into the race (he's #21 on the earnings list). If he doesn't get in, the bet is a loss (no refunds on futures).
However, if he runs his odds are certain to be lower on race day. He is a major closer in a race that will have a hot pace thanks to the presence of Big Brown. He won an allowance race at Gulfstream in January with a huge closing kick and won the Gotham at Aqueduct in March with a big closing move on a speed favoring track. He didn't make a major effort in the Blue Grass but still finished fifth despie starting from the awful 12-hole.
Great trainer in Michael Matz, who won the Derby with Barbaro in 2006 and is outstanding at pointing for a single race.
