  • Advice: Never toss your ticket till it's official

    Yesturday's 5th race at keenland I had a 10 cent super ticket.

Don't remember the whole ticket but I had:

4-9 with 4-9-10 with 4-9-10 with 12 There were other horses, but I don't remeber which ones.

Race went 10-4-9-12 the 4 and 9 were dead heat for 2nd.

I saw the results as dead heat butnever saw the jockey objection.

15 mins later I went to see how long till the 6th at keenland and saw results posted as

    4-9-10-12.

    HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!! Were's my ticket.

I looked everyplace. Somehow, I put it in my pocket.

I put it into the mchiene. and $200 came up.

Don't know why I put that ticket in my pocket, but luckily I did.

Kent Desourmouex (on the 4) logged an objection against the 10 and they brought the 10 down from 1st to 3rd.

The 4 and 9 fich dead heat, but so I hit the super both ways.

Bottom LINE: HOLD ALL TICKETS TILL RESULTS ARE OFFICIAL

I just got lucky and had in in my pocket
    Good Luck to everyone

Caught the ex the same way. But I did see the 10 come out on the 4 in the stretch. Was actually waiting for the objection. Great advice. Wait til you see official.

          Sweet

I look at my tickets 100 times before tossing.

This time I knew the 10 was clear and never knew there was an inquiry. I'll never do that agian.

My boss always runs all of his tickets threw the machine. 2 years ago he thought he had all losing tickets, but he is checking them threw the machine when one of the tickets says witholding. He has no clue as to what that meant so he takes it to the window and he has won 2200.00 and they have to withold taxes.

He thought he bet the pick 3 race 4,5 & 6 which was a loser, but he pushed in race 3,4,5 which believe it or not was a winner.

I agree Adam, dont ever throw the tickets away till you know they are losers. Everytime i am at the OTB i always see people picking up tickets off of the ground and running them threw the machines.

My boss bets 99% of the time threw the machines, almost never goes to the window, thats how he made the mistake by hitting the wrong buttons.

You never know how many winning tickets hit the floor
