Attn: Horse Players...Can someone help me out?

Hey guys,

Kinda of a dumb question, but can somebody advise what the correct payout should be on the following example. I'm still new to playin horses, and I have a feeling my guy might be dicken me over. Anyway here's the situation:

My Bet = $50 WP ($100 total) on the #9 Horse at Gulfstream - Race #8 on 2/28/08..........(Thanks for the tip by the way Dead President!)

Payouts were the following:

WIN = $5.80
PLACE = $4.00
SHOW = $3.00

So if I bet $50 to win and another $50 to place, how much should I expect to collect. Any and all help would be much appreciated! Thanks fellas!

In return you should be paid back $145 for the win bet and $100 for the place bet. A total of $245

The payoffs represent a $2 ticket.

You would multiply each by 25 (25 x 2= $50 play) to get your totals, as the weazel just did.

Yes..... simply take what you wagered and divide by 2,
then multiply by the pay-off.

Thus = $50/2 = 25, then 25 x $5.80 = $145.
