I went two-for-two last week. I like five plays today but am going only with my best three and will list the others as "opinions."
Play all at equal amounts to win and place
Belmont Park Race 3 Birdstone Stakes Play #3 Papi Chullo
This is a very talented horse that was formerly owned by a nut who kept moving the horse from one awful trainer to another. In his first race last out after being purchased and shifted to a much better trainer, he rolled in blistering time. This is a much tougher field but I expect this horse to be in Grade I stakes later this summer.
Belmont Park Race 8 Gr. II Woody Stephens Hcp. Play #2 Deadly Dealer
This is a Pletcher horse that was put on the Derby trail this spring but is better suited to sprints, like this seven furlong race. He won with a big speed figure two races back in Gulfstream while sprinting and should easily handle a field which is very soft for this level race.
Calder Race 5 Play #6 Tacit Agreement
This is a small stakes going 1 3/8 miles on the grass. The long distance will be no problem for this horse as he won a $250,000 stakes going TWO MILES last summer. He's won his last two races in a row by a COMBINED 25 LENGTHS. He's better on dirt but is in huge form and his trainer is very hot.
Opinions only:
Arlington Park Race 9 #6 Golden Harpoon
Belmont Stakes (Race 11) #2 Tiago (the one horse I think may be ready for a significant improvement in an otherwise chalky race)
