7 - Starforaday
This colt comes from a horse watch list I have based on workouts.
On 4/21 he worked a bullet @ 4F in 47. Normally an impressive work, but what caught my on was that Take D'Tour also worked that day @ 4F and was 2/5's slower then Starforaday. TakeD'Tour was last years G1 winner of the Ogden Phips and the Place horse in the G1 Apple Blossom.
Looking at negatives for this colt is he hasn't raced since Jan. and there is only one printed work.
I'm still going to take a flyer on him to win and place the ML is at 6-1 and there is an excuse in the for each of the last 5 races (bumped, blocked, stumbled, 10w and a 1 mile route) leading back to a 91 beyer in a Ocala Stakes race and win.
The 7 does posses the best turn time speed and fastest 4-5 furlong time. He should be flying toward the end of this 5f sprint in an allwNW3L dominated by early speed. The positive jockey switch to E Nunez is also a factor for me.
