My top picks...
#3 Circular Quay - Colt was a late commit into the race, Pimlico anounced the confirmation on the 15th after the horse worked 4f @ Belmont. Have to believe Pletcher believes he's ready and the pace should set up for him
#5 King of the Roxy - Pletcher / Gomez hit at 67% PIM06-07 and 28% All together this year. Well rested and off the bench. Only bad race was 3 back after encountering trouble.
#8 Street Sense - I don't feel this horse will win but he will find itself contending in the end. He had a dream trip in the Derby and I don't believe Bo"rail" will be able to stay on the rail unimpeded this time. The other jocks won't make the same mistake twice. Shows a nice work after the Derby which is a good sign, usually horses have a hangover effect after the BIG one.
# 9 CP West - once the speed inside him clears he should settle right into a garden spot for an easy trip.
I did like
#4 - Curlin after looking at my numbers but I just feel this horse is just too inexperienced to come back after a tough race, My hangover horse...weak work on the 14th may indicate he needs more rest.
I invision Xchanger, Hard Spun and Flying First class fighting for the lead, and Hard Spun prevailing, but not after being hung a bit wide, leaving the tank empty at about the mile pole. CP West I believe will be the one coming out of the second flight and trying to hold off Circular Quay (IMO the strongest of the closers) and Street Sense. CQ coming from the 3 spot should have an easy time, saving ground and being a bit closer to the pace then Street Sense.
