Well I know the fields have not been fully set, but figured we can start talking about the races. I hope some of the true horse folks get in here to discuss, or I will be listening to myself type. So here begins my thoughts based on eligible horses.

These thoughts are all subject to change based upon entries and odds.

Juvenile Fillies - Race 3

I do not see a lot of early speed here. With Untouched Talent out of the race, these are the five I am looking at:

Cash Included - Have beat a few of these and her stalking style suits. Put up a big number at 8.5 furlongs last out, may regress

Octave - Another stalker. Will she get the distance? Like the connections

Mistical Plan - Pure Speed, will take the lead. Went 7 furlongs last out and put out a big number

Quick Little Miss - If the pace meltsdown she can clean up the mess, although has been taken by Cash Included

Catch the Thrill - Grass to Dirt. Daughter to AP Indy

"Put up a big number" refers to Beyer Speed Figures which I use as part of my handicapping. These numbers talk to the "pace" at which the horse ran the race. This number can be looked at for the enitre race or for certain legs of the race. I use my own and other computer generated Pace numbers to determine who does and doesn't belong

i dont know how many of pletcher's horses will win, but he will get some in the money u can take that to the bank

clearly my favorite sporting event of the year.......

it is hard for me to truly discuss with any intelligence the races until we see the complete fields b/c of speed horses, draws, etc.........

i cant imagine bernardini/lava man/invasor not winning the classic but i was not too impressed with invasor's narrow win over sun king so i am leaning towards bernardini........

i know i will play against bordanero and never like a favorite in the sprint but henny hughes in awfully good

i will probably bet aragorn

i will probably bet against english channel but not necessarily convinced cacique will win, maybe honey ryder?
