Belmont Park Race 9 Gr. 1 Turf Classic Play #3 Freedonia
This is a filly taking on males.....but what a filly. The field she faces today isn't that strong. Freedonia finished a fairly close fourth last out in a French Grade 1 race. The winner came back and won the prestigious Prix de Opera on Arc day last weekend and the second place horse came back to win a major race herself. Freedonia had trouble in that race. If she runs back to it, she should blow by these horses. Outstanding French trainer in Hammond. Regular rider comes in from France for this.

With all the big races going today, my second play is on a cheap maiden claimer. This horse is the lone speed and just missed at a higher level last out at Fairplex. Switch from a nobody trainer to a top Northern Cal guy.
