Despite lots of searching, I found only one play I like enough to make a strong play on.
Play at equal amounts to win and place, as always.
Santa Anita Race 10 Play #2 Surf Academy
(Pick is for TURF ONLY.) This horse makes its second career start in this one-mile grass race for maiden two year olds. Trainer Neil Drysdale was so high on the horse that he convinced leading Southern Calif rider Espinoza to ride it in his career debut three weeks ago up north at Golden Gate. Espinoza had no other mount on the card and blew off a whole day for a maiden race! Alas, the horse found all sorts of trouble and finished third by a length. Firtst time lasix today, a six furlong work a week ago on the "cushion track" at Hollywood, Espinoza stays aboard. There's a LOT to like here.
