  • Saturday 9/16 Spot Plays

I've been on fire with these plays and my YTD ROI is now through the roof.

YTD: +$214 (based on only $10 to win and place on all plays)

    35 plays

    13 winners
    12 seconds
    1 third
    9 off the board

25 of 35 have won or placed. Three plays today. As always play each of these at equal amounts to win and place.

Belmont Park Race 2 Play #1A Bullara.
Special note: This horse is part of a two horse entry. Play ONLY if Bullara runs. If the other part of the entry runs or scratches the play is still on but only if Bullara runs.
This two year old makes its fourth career start for Pletcher and is bred to stretch out to this mile distance. Had an excuse last out at Saratoga as he lost to a highly regarded horse. Blinkers on. May go wire to wire.

Arlington Park Race 8 Gr. III Pucker Up Play #8 Ballet Pacifica
I love this play. This is a race for three year old fillies on the turf and my horse just finished third in a Group 3 race in France in which the winner came back to finish second in the French Oaks. Three year old French fillies tower over American fillies of the same age and this one has a huge class edge. The leading trainer in France had her over there, but she'll be staying in the U.S. after this race. We may get 7-2 or better here as ignorant American bettors do not know French form.
(NOTE: If #1 Chaibia wins the Garden City at Belmont ((Race 7)), upgrade this horse's chances even more as Ballet Pacifica has been a better horse in France than Chaibia.)

Fairplex Park Race 5 Play #3 Mud Light
This horse has lost his last three races by a combined 53 lengths. So why is he a play? Because this race is a mere four furlongs and Mud Light is a horse with blazing speed who always quits.....but only after running four furlongs. Decent workout over this track Sunday. We may get as much as 2-1 because of the poor recent races and the fact the horse tied up after his last race. If so, it's a bargain.

It has just occurred to me that I put the wrong date in my header!

Every time I do something stupid like that, it's a bad omen. What year is it anyway?

                Recap

One win, one second, one third.

Mud Light won, but was bet down more than I hoped, and paid 3.80 to win and 3.00 to place.

Bullara ran a winning race but ran into a monster first time starter by Barclay Tagg that looks like 2007 Derby horse. Bullara paid 2.30 to place.

Very tough loss on Ballet Pacifica who finished third, just missing second by a nose.

                Total wagered: $60
                Cashed: $45.50

                Loss: -$14. 50

YTD: +$199.50 (all based on $10 to win and place per selection)

Bullara did not run second. The other part of the entry finished second. I know it still counts, but was the wrong horse. Bullara was off the board.

Top Player is wrong, and I say that politely. Bullara did run second. The other half of the entry was the one that was off the board.

I may have my dates wrong, but I am able to watch a horse race and know who finished where.

sorry Gris. I looked up the results and it said the other horse. I was not trying to say anything, just thought it was the other way.
