With so much rain forecast on the east coast and races likely being moved off the turf and sloppy tracks on the main track, there's too much uncertainty for me to post anything from Saratoga or elsewhere in the east in advance. Therefore, I'm left with merely one play for Saturday.
Arlington Park Race 4 Play #5 Bold Sterling
This horse cuts back in distance from 7 to 6 1/2 and drops in claiming price to $13500 claiming. That should do the trick as he won for 15K at Ellis Park two back. 2-for-3 at this distance. Trainer is winning 25 percent at the meet and 30 percent when using this rider. Anything approaching the morning line of 4-1 is a steal. Likelier to be 2-1 or so but that's okay as I see this horse better than 50-50 to win.
