I'm looking at this race right now. So far I have thrown out: Chin High and International Cat, they are too slow. Unbridled Behavior could contend if it runs a top, but its unlikley because the horse is coming back on 26 days rest off a big race; also has the outside post = ground lost. Rock Lobster would have to run its best to contend and even if it does it will have a wide trip. Yates Black Cat hasn't showed me much, improvement not likley. Showing up and Roman Dynasty are making their first starts on turf. Showing up has some question marks on pedigree and I don't think it will transfer its numbers on dirt to tur. Roman Dynasty on the other hand is bred to run all day on turf. Lewis Michael is likely to bounce here. He jumped up to a huge figure, finishing second behind Sunriver in The Peter Pan, his last race five weeks ago. That was a big dirt effort and this guy has a history of reacting to top efforts. Also dirt is much more enervating surface than turf. Lewis Michael could bounce and possibly be a factor here but it’s tough to bet a guy you know is going backwards although the price is tempting. I'm tossing him.

That leaves me with 8 choices. I will be back later with my final thoughts.

guys i can not watch the track but i think "HUMORISTIC" is a decent value play at over 10 to 1,lets try 5 across,he has 2 wins and a second on this track, you guys will have to keep me updated on these next 2 races !! i am trying 10 across on "ANGARA" at belmont,i like motts turf work the last year and think the yielding turf moves this horse up !!

Did anybody see the race? The jock gunned Kip Deville to an 18-length lead and he held on to finish second at about 25-1.

Weird race. I sure didn't hit it.

This is a tactic Quincy Hamilton and Richard Dutrow have has success with many times in the past. Just couldn't hold on in the last 3/16 after the blistering 1/4;1/2 and 6 furlong fractions. I was a firm believer in Can't Beat It and was dissapointed like many others at he track.
