13) Evansville 67, Kentucky 64— Purple Aces, coached by Kentucky alum Walter McCarty, were a 25-point underdog here; Evansville plays only one senior- they beat Ball State by 4 in their opener. Aces made only 9-30 on the arc, but outrebounded Kentucky.

12) Phil Knight Invitational, Portland OR:
Oregon 82, Memphis 74: Ducks got 17 points from UNLV transfer Juiston, survived 15-27 shooting on foul line and got themselves a quality win. Memphis is really young, and they’re going to improve, so this win will likely look better in March than it does now.

Oklahoma 77, Oregon State 69: Sooners outscored Oregon State 44-37 in 2nd hall; Beavers missed a bunch of layups, as Pac-12 teams split this twinbill in Portland.

11) Seattle Seahawks are 8-2, look like a playoff team, but there is such a fine line between winning and losing in the NFL. Here are some of Seattle’s wins:
Week 1: beat Cincinnati 21-20— Bengals are 0-9.
Week 2: beat Steelers 28-26— Pittsburgh’s backup QB played 2nd half.
Week 5: beat Rams 30-29— Rams missed 41-yard FG on the last play.
Week 6: beat Browns 32-28— Seattle trailed 20-6 in 2nd quarter.
Week 9: beat Buccaneers 40-34 (OT)— Seattle trailed 21-7 in 2nd quarter.
Week 10: beat 49ers 27-24 (OT)— 49ers missed a 47-yard FG in OT.

This is evidence that right now, Russell Wilson is the MVP.

10) Coppin State 76, Loyola Chi 72— This is the Eagles’ first non-league win against a D-I team in six years, or 74 non-league games ago. Loyola was only 22-34 on foul line.

9) Sunday is November 17 and is the Atlanta Falcons’ first outdoor game this season.
