These are 13 of my favorite non-sports movies. Make your own list.

Remember, these are my favorite movies, not the movies that are necessarily the best. Of the 50 movies USA Today listed as the best ever, I’ve seen two of them. Seriously.

13) Runaway Jury— I’m a big fan of the John Grisham books; this was my favorite of the ones that were turned into movies. Gene Hackman plays a jury consultant whose client is a gun manufacturer; John Cusack is on the jury to manipulate the verdict.

T12) Moon Over Parador— Richard Dreyfuss is an actor who is hired to stand in for the dictator of a Latin American country who suddenly dies. Jonathan Winters is a weird CIA agent whose wife is Polly Holliday, who played Flo in the old TV series Alice.

T12) Dave— Made five years after Moon Over Parador, this is basically the same movie, just set in Washington, DC.

Guy who looks just the President runs a temp service in Washington; when the real president has a stroke while screwing around with his mistress, the guy (Kevin Kline) is hired as the stand-in president. Sigourney Weaver is the First Lady.

11) The Verdict— Paul Newman is a struggling lawyer who is handed a winning case, which is easier said than done. His friend is played by Jack Warden, one of my all-time favorites.

10) The Gambler— Remake of a James Caan movie from the mid-70’s. College professor (Mark Wahlberg) seems to have an excellent life, but he has a huge gambling problem which drags him down. John Goodman plays one of the people he owes money to; he is very good in this.

9) The Bodyguard— Whitney Houston is a famous singer with a contract on her head; Kevin Costner is the ex-Secret Service hired to protect her.

8) A Few Good Men— The last scene, with Jack Nicholson on the witness stand, is tremendous. Kevin Bacon, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Pollak, JT Walsh as supporting actors is pretty strong.

7) Leap of Faith— Steve Martin plays a traveling preacher whose bus breaks down, stranding his crew in a drought-stricken Kansas town. Miracles ensue. Liam Neeson, Debra Winger, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Meat Loaf all have supporting roles.

6) Molly’s Game— Young woman runs high stakes poker games for celebrities/rich guys, but when members of the Russian mob enter the game, things get complicated. This is a true story, and as we’re learning nowadays, real life is often stranger than fiction.

5) Lost In Translation— Bill Murray plays a washed-up actor who is in Tokyo getting paid $2M to do a whiskey commercial. He meets Scarlett Johansson in the hotel bar and they become friends.

4) Begin Again— Down-and-out movie producer stumbles into a Manhattan bar and discovers a young singer who can resurrect his career.

3) Good Will Hunting— Janitor at MIT can do complicated math problems better than the professors can, but he also has a criminal record, and has to get counseling for that. Robin Williams is great as the counselor.

2) Last Vegas— Four old friends get together in Las Vegas for the bachelor party of the one bachelor in group (Michael Douglas) who is marrying a woman 40 years younger than him. It is Douglas, Robert Deniro, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline.

1) Rounders— Law student decides he’d rather play high stakes poker. The scenes with Matt Damon and his law professor (Martin Landau) are excellent. Same guys who wrote this write the great Showtime series Billions now.

Hockey bettors could get paid with pressure on Predators, and Saturday's NHL best bets

The last day of the NHL's regular season has arrived and with it some intriguing betting-related storylines as the curtain falls on 15 teams. There are plenty of angles to cover on Saturday's action-packed 15-game schedule, including Leon Draisaitl on the verge of making history and the Chicago Blackhawks looking to put a high-scoring bow on a campaign full of Overs. Here are our best bets, predictions, trends and tips to guide you to profit on the final day of the NHL's regular-season calendar:

Look for Leon

The Edmonton Oilers haven't had a 50-goal scorer in 31 long years but they're in good position to end that drought as they close out the season against the rival Calgary Flames. Leon Draisaitl sits just one goal shy of the 50-goal plateau, and with the Oilers well out of the playoff picture and with nothing else to play for, they will almost certainly give Draisaitl every opportunity to reach the milestone. Bettors should take the Draisaitl goal player prop with extreme confidence – after all, his linemate happens to be Connor McDavid, who enters the finale sitting second in the NHL in assists (75) and points (116).

Blackhawks End With a Bang?

Well, that was quite a run. The Chicago Blackhawks went from building an unprecedented string of Overs to becoming the hottest Under play in the league, back to a red-hot Over option. Totals bettors can finally get off the roller-coaster Saturday when Chicago closes out its season against the Nashville Predators. The Blackhawks will finish the season as the only NHL team to convert the Over 50 times, regardless of how they fare against the Predators, and with Chicago boasting a 3-1 O/U mark over its past four games entering Friday's tilt with Dallas, you can bet that there will be plenty of action on the O6.

Chaos Central

Speaking of the Predators, they're in the fight of their lives as they look to lock up the Central Division title. Nashville enters the final night of the season one point ahead of the Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues for top spot in the division, meaning that they control their own destiny and can secure top spot with a victory. But a regulation loss, combined with either a Winnipeg win over Arizona or a St. Louis triumph over Vancouver, would give the victorious team the division crown. And should the Preds lose to Chicago and the Jets and Blues both prevail, Nashville would slip to third and lose home-ice advantage in the process.

Time for a Rest?

The Lightning and Boston Bruins will be the first two teams to finish their regular season ledgers when they face off in a Saturday matinee at TD Garden, and don't be surprised to see key players from both sides either absent or in a reduced role. With the Lightning locked into the top seed and home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs, and the Bruins comfortable in the No. 2 spot with a first-round series with Toronto already secured, there's little incentive for either side. That also brings the Under into play, as both sides could wind up engaging in a good old-fashioned skate-around with fewer scoring chances.

Goalie Profile: Jordan Binnington, St. Louis Blues

He might not have enough starts under his belt to challenge for the Vezina Trophy, but there's a compelling argument to be made for Binnington as the top netminder in the league this season. Binnington enters the Blues' season finale against the Canucks ranked first in the NHL in goals-against average (1.89) and sitting fourth in save percentage (.927) to go along with an incredible 23-5-1 SU record. But while Binnington was once a lock as an Under play – the Blues went 7-15-1 O/U in his first 22 games – he's 5-2-1 O/U in his last eight thanks in large part to the Blues having averaged 4.5 goals over that span.

Injury Update: F Zach Parise, Minnesota Wild

Parise's quest for a seventh 30-goal campaign has come up just short, with the veteran forward set to miss his team's final game against the host Dallas Stars Saturday. Parise, who is battling both an upper-body injury and an illness, will finish the season with 28 goals in 74 games. The season finale between the Wild and Stars could be missing plenty more star power, with Dallas resting a handful of players for Friday night's matchup with the Blackhawks and expected to do the same for the season finale. The Stars are -175 favorites as of Friday, with the total at 5.5.

Hat Trick Trends

• As expected, the Under will wind up with a significantly larger share of the totals results on the season, going into the final two days with a 52 percent success rate. And things have tightened up considerably down the stretch, with better than 61 percent of all games over the previous seven days of action finishing below the Vegas number.

• While the Lightning are the runaway winner for the most profitable team in the NHL this season (+16.14 units), the New Jersey Devils assume the mantle of worst value play. The Devils enter the final stretch of the campaign with a net loss of 15.63 units, edging out the Buffalo Sabres (-14.18), Edmonton Oilers (-13.42) and Los Angeles Kings (-12.01).

• Looking for the top Stanley Cup odds heading into the postseason? The Lightning are an incredible to hoist Lord Stanley's chalice at season's end, coming in at +200. The Calgary Flames are next in line at +700, followed by the Bruins (+900). The Washington Capitals (+1200) and Predators (+1300) round out the Top 5.
