In the summer of 2008 — Bush’s last year in office — gasoline prices climbed above $4/gallon for nine straight weeks on the back of oil prices that reached nearly $150/barrel. But those prices were unsustainable in the short term, and unsurprisingly, they collapsed. By the end of the year, oil prices had retreated into the $30′s, and gasoline had fallen back to $1.71/gallon.

I agree with lovedoc on this one.could be wrong but think the numbers are skewed somewhat.would love to know where this station is located.has to be in wisconsin or somewhere around because here in atlanta every station is owned by people i would expect to be obama supporters.

It was $1.88 a gal when Bush left office but in all fairness gas did hit $4.10 when he was in there. In all honesty it is like comparing how many deaths from breast cancer there were under Bush vs Obama. Gas is a commodity traded on the open market

After tonight's ass whoopin, gas prices may be the least of Obama's concerns

Exactly. Gas is down for the 12th straight day, just waiting for the made up bullshit from the Republicans about Iran being scared of Mitt or some other nonsense.

                        It's not just gas.

                        Food prices are way up.

                        Prices are rising on everything.

Obama's spending based on borrowing from China is making the dollar lose value.

Next year will be worse, no matter who is elected. It will take over a year for Romney to reverse the downfall of the economy. Obama couldn't do it in another 5 years.

Somehow a Big Mac is still $0.99. I actually agree partially, but I think we've already hit rock bottom. There still needs to be some major changes though. I have no idea what Romney would or wouldn't do, that guys totally full of shit.

Haha. I was joking, you think I eat Big Macs? I wanna live. I have a rule, if a "hamburger" costs less than the price of hamburger meat I don't eat it.
