And you should feel the same way about the administration. We can Monday morning Qb it all day long but none of us know what resources were used or not used at that time. It was a mess and like I said the people in NO didn't make the situation much better.

Excuses? No. Viable reasons why the numbers are where they are. Yes. Cause and effect. They are where they are because of many reasons. NOT because Obama failed to fix it. I gave several reasons why they haven't changed. Do I think he can do better? Yes.

It's not Monday morning QB'ing. It is well documented that the administration failed miserably during Katrina. The list of failures by the Bush admin during Katrina is far and wide....

GE shouldn't be getting tax refunds each year ( but then we helped them bailout GE capital) but 2010 GE got 3.2 billion refund from the treasure on a 5.1 billion U.S profit, NOW F"N OBAMA FIX THAT PROBLEM

GS and all the big banks shouldn't have recieved a bonus for 10 years, instead they recieved huge bonuses these last 3 years on our bailouts and now, Bank of america and morgan stanley are fearing going to $0....MORE TAX PAYERS waste of money

Wow. I totally agree with here. I'm not sure we've ever agreed on anything. Companies sticking it to this country after being bailed out is bullshit. And hoarding money while avoiding taxes is why the top companies are enjoying great economic times while everyone else is dealing with a depression....

i've never disagreed with anyone cuz what they stand behind, but to say it's bush's fault or obama's is just bullshit...

I'm just waiting for someone to stand up and fix the problem, tell us the truth and stop sugar coating the real problem. Obama had his chance, but time is running out, and i think he thinks his ONLY way to get re-elected is the stock market (in my eyes)

I just want someone to come out and tell me HARD times are ahead and we all need to become the country we once were, instead of relying on china buying our debt, Q3's 4's and 5's until something improves and before we know it, we'll be 20trillion in debt..

but the sad part, this admin is far from telling us the truth and giving us clarity.

Maybe Im wrong,but I thought another hurricane hit around Houston and shut some refineries down and shut down a major pipeline on the east coast.Seems like it was a couple years past Katrina,cause I remember paying 4.29.

I know you hated Bush. And Katrina wasn't his fault. Sitting on his ass and his administration failing in the days following it, was definitely his fault. That is common knowledge....

i think the administration has admitted that there were flaws in the system and i think if a katrina style hurricane was to hit again things would be different. And if katrina would have been anywhere else it would have been different. Dumb asses down there that didn't evacuate,rioting and acting like a bunch of animals. How many peoples lives could have been saved if the police and firefighters could have focused on saving lives instead of putting on riot gear. Bush can't be blamed for that.

it all has to do with the people.i know matrons was bad but so was the floods in nashville.not sure how much worse matrons was but the way the people of nashville helped each other and did not turn into maniacs and loitered trying to steal from each other that is what made the huge difference.it was not the government did a better job with the nashville floods it was the people and how they responded.
