  • Poll Question About the End of the World

I don't know how this will go over, but as they say nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Anyways, now that Mr. Camping's prediction about the Rapture and the beginning of the end of the world didn't come true on Saturday, the question is do you think that what he predicted is essentially true and that his timing was just off? Or do you think it is a lot of hogwash to begin with and/or do you have an opinion that is somewhere between the two extremes cited above?
If you do believe the end of the world is coming, do you have any opinion as to when this event will occur-this year, next 10 years, 20, years, in your lifetime, etc?

It was a bunch of and I didn't worry one minute about this crack pot. Hey if it happens whatever but not going to sit around and dwell on it...anyway it's not going to happen in my lifetime or my kids life time or their kids or their kids....I don't know savage I don't get caught up in this crap nor worry about nor care.

My girlfriend said something about it and I told her I really wasn't interested in listening to nonsense. She believes in ghosts too... Yeah I know there are ghosts floating around... Yea right... I never seen one... When I see one I'll let you guys know.

Savage if I may ask what the hell brought this up at 12:30 on a Monday morning?
Seriously I am laying in bed on my iPad looking at my online betting account, shooting the shit with some guys on here, and playing scrabble with Joe blow on the iPad. Hey if you guys have an iPad download the scrabble game is it pretty cool!

Just wondering what brought this on!

        Hi Bryce.
In answer to your question, if you have followed my threads/posts(haven't started any for a while), you know that most of them are about topics which just cross my mind.
Unlike Camping, I can't make predictions as to when these thoughts will hit me.
I will say this though-even though for various reasons I felt Camping's prediction was a lot of nonsense and that those who believed it were dumb, naive and a bunch of other choice adjectives, I did spend a lot of time Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the internet trying to find about more about the basis of the prediction, Camping himself and his followers.
Yesterday I was curious as to what Camping and his followers and those in the media were saying about the prediction and the latter about Camper since the prediction didn't come true.
I guess you might say that the question even though I raised it at 12:30 this morning, was a natural extension of what I had been following.
        I hope above helps.

I agree and would add that he is delusional and has obvious feelings of grandeur to believe that God would allow him and only him to find some kind of hidden math. in the Bible which would tell him when the world is going to end(doesn't this relgious zealot know that bible clearly states that only God knows when the world will end and that he ain't telling anyone including Camping when this will ocur).
And just think-there were persons who sold all their wordly belongings and spent it on warning everyone about this "Lock" prediction.

To be honest I believe it will happen someday and it will only occur quicker if we keep destroying our planet the way we currently are. We will bring the end of the world onto ourselves. Whether it be by a nuclear war or some other means, we control our destiny and each day we are getting closer to the end. We may never personally see it but at some point the end will come.

Whether one is religious or not, that is a logical prediction which is hard to find fault with.

This 'Rapture" talk and end of the world prediction stuff are more examples of 'man made' religion. The word rapture is not mentioned one time in the bible. It there were going to be a rapture it would say exactly that. What this is based on is stretching the imagination and twisting the words of Revelation. Same as the 1000 year tribulation, or the say a prayer and your saved theology. It all stems from ignorance of what the bible actually says. If your going to believe in Jesus and the bible you have to be willing to do what it teaches and says to do. Not just what you feel like doing or want to do. This is why there are 20000 denominations. Anything added to the bible or subtracted from it means that you want to stay away from it. The most dangerous denominations are the ones that teach a couple of falsehoods and most of the truth. Alot of good people are going to be shocked at their final destination and it will be because they didnt bother to find out the truth for themselves.

If there is no world left what happens to reincarnation?

That worries me cause I planned on coming back after I died as something else.
