The cop went too far but this being described as a "traffic stop" makes it sound like it was a routine stop. I bet the driver did more than is reported for her to get tased and punched.

Are the Police Out of Control?: Officer Punches 53 Year Old Woman in the Face Several Times
Police officers have a responsibility to do the right thing--period. There is not fine line here. Time and again it seems officers are just as wrong as those they are pursuing. Take for instance this Utah police officer who began punching a 53 year old woman in the face multiple times. Granted this woman was in the wrong for running from the police, but watching the video, one has to wonder what is wrong with the officer that he couldn't detain this woman in a way that didn't require this much violence. Didn't his mother teach him not to hit women?
Listen, I know police officers have a tough job, but it seems to me that many of these officers on the beat are making some really bad decisions. Like it or not, this woman still has Constitutional rights.

same thing that is wrong with them here in indianapolis where they beat a high school kid and closed his eyes shut and he didnt have a weapon etc. he did resist but they should of tased him not beat him. they are pretty sorry m f------ if they cant handle a 53 year old woman , or teenager without hurting them that bad. i know people will jump up and defend them like always. but its my opnion and my grandfather is a retied indianapolis cop and my brother is a detroit cop. and some of there actions disgust me.Comment
