While the GOP's blowout win in the midterm elections sent shock waves through the political world, the general public is apparently having a difficult time remembering that it even happened.

According to a new Pew poll, less than half the nation is aware that Republicans won back control of the House of Representatives, although 75 percent correctly identified the GOP as outperforming the Democrats in the midterms.

The finding is part of a Pew poll that tested Americans' current events knowledge. Check out CNN's breakdown for more findings.

I'm sure we all do, but, that statement is, I don't know what the proper description would be, lets say diversionary or disingenuous. Yeah, there are GOP voters on welfare, but that shouldn't detract from the indisputable, undeniable fact that of all Americans on the government tit, a huge majority of them (I would suggest over 85%) vote the straight democratic ticket. I assume you would agree with that??? I'm not surprised that people like the welfare grabbin' woman from Detroit ("I came to get my Obama money...He got it from his stash") wouldn't know the GOP took over the House. In fact, I'd bet she and others like her couldn't tell you if "GOP" means R or D. Not trying to incite fights here, but this just goes to show how profoundly uninformed and uneducated a large percentage of this Country is.

I agree with your statement that all of america is on the govt tit if you include the corporations that have been titty fuc*ing the govt for years. For instance, we the tax payers fund big pharmas research on new drugs, so they really don't take any risk, then in turn they charge us over-the-top amounts of cash for those drugs, and then only 11 cents on the dollar that we pay them for the drugs goes back into research and the majority of it goes into advertising and marketing. Also, we fix it up for wallstreet and much more that I'll add later, but I'm going to bed because I have to get up early to head to ttown to watch my tide give it to CAM!

I think what he is trying to say is that most people who are on welfare are lazy slobs that think because they are breathing they should get things for free that the rest of us work for. I think that is what he is trying to say. But what do I know?
