Palin's lone success this month was in backing Tom Emmer, but he was running in a no-contest primary to lock up the GOP gubernatorial nomination in Minnesota. According to the first round of post-primary polling, Democrat Mark Dayton leads Emmer by nine points.
The former vice presidential candidate will get to test her name again next week in a primary day that could prove huge for Palin. With elections in Alaska, Arizona and Florida, four Palin-backed candidates, including former running mate John McCain and Alaska Tea Party upstart Joe Miller, will head to the polls.
