          just a thought. If they build it. Is it okay for a christian or a jew to fly a plane into their mosque and then build a church or temple in its place?

              I agree with KB and vols and many others. Believe me I'm not from the south. Hell I'm known by them as ......"the pushy New Yorker" thing is I dont get mad or cry...instead i laugh and enjoy it.

                Sen. Harry Reid Says Mosque Should Not Be Built Near Ground Zero

                Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) doesn't agree with President Obama on the headline-grabbing issue of building a                 mosque and Islamic community center near Manhattan's Ground Zero.




                The Senate majority leader said in a statement Monday that the controversial center should be built somewhere else in New York, and not within blocks of the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, The Hill reported.



                "The First Amendment protects freedom of religion," said Reid spokesman Jim Manley. "Sen. Reid respects that but thinks that the mosque should be built someplace else."



                Reid's position doesn't sit well with liberals, but Reid opponent Sharron Angle hails it, PD's Matt Lewis reports.



                On Friday, President Obama signaled his support for the mosque, saying, "Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country."




                Reid, who is fighting a tough re-election battle, is the highest-profile Democrat to come out in opposition to the Islamic center.



                The senator's entry into the mosque controversy may end up being moot. Haaretz reported late Monday that Muslim religious and business leaders will announce plans to abandon the lower Manhattan project and move to an alternative site.

                        It's amazing what people will say at home on the internet. I'm no tough guy I've had my butt kicked a couple of times but some of the nicest most respectful people in this country are of middle eastern origin. My best friend married an Egyptian woman and her family are the nicest people around. I believe anyone who is half the man they claim they are will say the things they say in private to the peoples face they discriminate against. I love all people and in GODs name who am I to treat anyone like crap because of the actions of a misguided few?

                        Life is too short too hate man I suggest the things you hate in this world...find a way to love it man.
