I hope I'm wrong but I don't think we hit bottom yet.All these tax credits people have been getting, guess what they end Dec 31 and I have heard nothing about extending it into 2011.Without that alot of people will be laying off cause the work will drop off like crazy.

You on steroids or something? Got some roid itch to scratch? You said back then you wouldn't believe it until you saw it with your own eyes. So I was letting your eyes see it.

We'll see what happens with the tax credits. So far the GDP has mostly gone up every quarter since Obama was elected just like the Righties here said it wouldn't.

I don't need to post shit for you. I'll take this one over any POS candidate you can come up with. I sleep well every night knowing you have to deal with Obama being your president every single day.

Thats Ok, the left swallows the news they want to hear and it makes them feel good. Reality is that we will be there for a long time. Obama has to keep his voting base happy with misleading news like this.

Who gives a fuck "What kind" of troops are gone cuz 50,000+ are still there!

U.S. troop strength in Iraq put at 52,000
                    August 19, 2010 6:27 p.m. EDT

Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) -- The number of U.S. troops remaining in Iraq is about 52,000, the U.S. military said Thursday.

That puts U.S. Forces-Iraq on track to draw down to 50,000 troops by September 1, when Operation New Dawn is to begin and forces are to switch to an advise-and-assist role.

The Pentagon on Wednesday had estimated the number of U.S. forces in Iraq at 56,000, which reflected the last calculation conducted August 17, the military said in a news release.

The 4,000-member 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team departed to Kuwait on Wednesday and Thursday. The brigade's departure comes more than seven years after U.S. combat forces entered Iraq, though it does not signify the end of all U.S. combat forces in the country.

In all, the number of U.S. troops in Iraq has decreased by more than 90,000 in the past 18 months and Obama has promised that all U.S. forces will be out by the end of 2011.

But there is plenty of work left to do, former U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker said Wednesday.

"Iraq is still at the beginning of the story of its evolution since 2003," he said, referring to the date of the U.S.-led invasion of the country.

In fact, Iraq has been without a functioning government for more than five months, electricity and other utilities are available only sporadically in the capital, and violence appears to be increasing. At least 48 people were killed Tuesday in an attack outside a military recruiting center in Baghdad.

"We're going to have to leave a large footprint behind, and this is not going away for us as an issue," Crocker said.

The State Department is preparing to make up much of that footprint. It will handle many of the responsibilities currently shouldered by the military, increasing its security contractors from 2,700 to nearly 7,000, sources said. They are expected to work with diplomats and police trainers in some facilities.

The State Department has asked for an additional $400 million to cover the costs, though it was not clear it would get it.

The State Department has asked the U.S. military to leave behind surveillance systems, about 50 bomb-resistant vehicles and a few dozen UH-60 helicopters, a military official said. Although the department got a lot of what it wanted, the Pentagon said it could not give them all the helicopters because they are needed in Afghanistan, the official said.

According to the Pentagon, 4,419 U.S. troops have died in Iraq.

You have a problem with him pulling out 77,000 combat troops like he said he would but leaving 50k to advise and assist? Who gives a fuck that the combat troops are out but peace keepers are still there? Really? That's a big problem for you?

So I guess the 30+k leftover in Okinawa, Japan still bothers you? Or the 57k in Germany? Or the 27k in South Korea? Or the 10k STILL in Kuwait as peace keeping forces? or the ones in Yugoslavia? Don't insult my intelligence with such fucking nonsense. Thanks for playing though....

I NEVER said all the troops were on their way home. I posted a story with a headline and a link that clearly stated, "THE LAST AMERICAN COMBAT BRIGADE" was on it's way home....You're the one jumping to conclusions.

And two, from your story, he has decreased forces in Iraq by 90,000 in 18 months and promised to have all forces out by the end of 2011. Do you wanna bet that happens??? Prrrrrr.....

You post to vols that you were right about him getting the troops out and you post last with troops in the same sentence and then pat yourself on the shoulder as if you were right and the job is done please!!!!! Purr your tunes at the end of 2011 when they are actually supposed to be out instead of now when they are clearly still there. Vols shouldn't apologize for shit until it happens. Here kitty, kitty, kitty!

                                Hey kaz,

nice to meet you. Let me guess the neocons are now saying all the troops aren't coming yet. How hypocritical!!!!! They were the main ones that wanted troops in the middle east but now they want them all out. I guess they got that one right out of the rush limbaugh playbook.

I guarantee when their mental leader George bush told them what to think 9 years they fell right in line. Now they have the audacity to give obama shit for slowly pulling troops out.

I got it its obama Muslim agenda...........

these guys are all predictable and funny. He is Muslim, but bombing Muslims, and he has a Muslim agenda.......
