Let me make sure I have this correct. The right wingers are cry because he won't vacation in the gulf. He does and somehow its a photo op and not long enough.

Also please don't mention vacation time when we just had a president who set the recors for most vacations. Were u here questioning why gw bush spent months at his ranch playing cowboy while 2 wars were going on? Prob not. Always a double standard

I think people are looking for any reason to jump on this guy's nuts...

Every president takes vacation time Vols. To say he's not showing great leadership because he vacationed for 27 hours in the Gulf, is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Or any of the vacationing he has done.

In comparing apples to apples, and I don't really care that you thought Bush did a terrible job or not, because I never saw anyone from the right in here talking about this. G.W. Bush took more vacation days than any other president in the history of the US...And guess whose record he broke? Ronald Reagan.

In mid July Obama had taken half the vacation time Bush had taken at the same point in their presidency. Bush took 1020 days of vacation. More than 1/3 of his days as president were spent on vacation....During some of the absolute worst events this country has endured in the past 200 years. Obama won't come close to putting a dent in those kind of numbers.

If leadership is based on vacationing, every president was a poor leader.

Thanks for the history lesson on presidents vacations but I'm already aware that they all take them.But most don't say go to a certain area because it's safe and they need money coming into the area but then go vacation themselves in the opposite direction with the wealthy.Thats not leadership. He might as well say"Hey you broke hard working Americans.You can't afford a real vacation so drive to the gulf while I'm going to hang out with the rich folk at your expense"

Really? He drove the country trillions in debt, Katrina, 911, drove unemployment up to untouchable numbers, no growth in the economy, started two wars killing our economy, oil prices through the roof. But yeah, he deserved to take 1020 days of vacation.

Rising unemployment numbers % wise have been nil by comparison and the GDP has grown almost every quarter. But what difference does that make I guess?

9-11, yeah Bush did that, he planned it and everything.

So sick of hearing 9-11, Katrina, BP oil spill.

One was a terrorist attack cuz they hate America, one was a natural disaster, blame nature, and one was a major mistake. None of those events are the Presidente fault. IMO

So in my opinion, STFU with those events when bitching about Bush or Obama
