And guess what? That's without 9/11. I still find it hard to believe Anyone With reasons could compare someone who was the editor for the Harvard law review to someone who may or may not have a college degree, who thinks foreign policy credentials include living next to a countries border.

The amazing part is they're republicans in here sticking up for her, comparing her to obama in intelligence. Just screams out why I left the republican party. If its part of their party they stick up for it at all costs. That's what mccain did with palin he insulted our intelligence and thought we were zombies.

Welcome back 23 ... Good to see you

If mccain chooses lieberman he wins the election and my vote but the palin thing was a SLAP to every Americans face especially republicans!!!!! He is 75 year old man no way he should've ever been that stupid.

Hopefully they will figure it out by 2012 give her a couple of million to go and hide till after the election.

          Two questions

What states do you think McCain lost b/c of Palin pick? Any states he was ahead in before VP announcement then lost?

What states does a McCain/Lieb ticket pick up that McCain/palin lost?

Plus I'm not looking at raw numbers I'm looking at the quality of his choice, his decision making skills. This tells me he thought he could get us to fall in line like sheep. It's dumb were still talking about this but everytime she is on t.v it makes me wonder..............why

It was obviously a calculated gamble which failed/backfired, the thinking being that a hot looking and enthusiastic woman(not that hot by my standards) would appeal to many women because they would get vicarious thrills and to men well for obvious reasons.
What McCain and head honchos failed to realize though was that once the novelty and glitter wore off, folks learned more about her, heard her speak about the issues, a lot of her initial support waned, and we all know what happened.
It sort of reminds me of going to a used car dealer and seeing say a ten year old car all polished, shiny and clean, with new tires, etc.
However, as soon as you test drive it, you hear strange sound and noises coming out of the engine and sense a lot of other trouble you wouldn't notice if you just went by the outside appearance.
ps In all honesty and fairness, some of the same(in reverse in a sense) can be said about Obama, namely that his smooth and glib talking about the issues before the election was one of the reasons he was elected.

Raw numbers is what elects people though.

I don't think he picks up the states you mentioned. And I don't know how much of the Palin choice was his or the RNC. Everyone knew he wanted Lieberman.

I agree that putting a woman on the ticket for vagina's sake thinking the pro-Hillary crowd would flock and vote for McCain was stupid and insulting. I think it net pissed off more women then it brought it. And the argument about bringing in the right b/c of Palin doesn't fly b/c a none vote for McCain was a vote for Obama.

it didn't matter who he selected. as soon as the economy tanked, it was all over for the rep's.

the same thing is going to happen this year, and two years from now if things don't get a lot better. the people that decide elections (middle/independants) vote based on the economy. everything else may be fun for talking heads to talk about, but the economy is what rules.
