why all the criticism NOW from the president and dem leadership?

where was the outrage BEFORE he was actually released?

is it because now they can try and blame BP like they try and blame everyone else for mistakes or bad decisions they have made?

there is NO WAY he gets released without the US govt approval. didn't the US agree not to bring him here to face the death penalty because he was not to be released from prison?

dem's better be careful asking for a investigation, i am sure some will start asking what part the US govt played. not just BP and the UK like they hope.

Prob because the reason for the release was originally a sympathy release because he was dying in 3 months. Not sayin i agree either way though.

Also u say the govt will blame bp like they did before. I hate to state the obvious but the blame for the spill does fall on bp and they should be held responsible for it

it was very clear i meant the govt blaming someone else for everything that goes wrong. i wasn't just referring to the oil spill.

I can't agree with that. Some things the right does blame them for clearly is not their fault but I wouldn't say they blame somebody for everything. They just took full responsibility for the firing the other day that should not have happened and if u have listened to obama speaking about the spill he has said he will take responsiblity for getting it resolved. While obviously bp is gonna be held accountable( which they should) it will be the job of the feds to make sure the capping and cleanup is done properly

as far as the the firing, they had the head of that agency take all the blame in his press conference. you know how things work, the white house sent word down to have her fired. i'm not saying this doesn't happen all the time. there is always a "fall guy".

Well the firing I'm sure came from the white house but by the secretary coming out and admitting it was wrong is the same for me as if the admin or obama said it. I think most would see it that way. You're not gonna see obama come out and say anything but gibbs did. Same thing I think

So we should just leave bp alone and let them take care of it? The have already lied before the process telling the fed regulators they have plans in place to stop a massive leak. Obviously they didn't. Bp certainly can be trusted. The feds have to do it

the cleanup has to be done by BP, the govt doesn't have a clue what to do. but the OVERSIGHT (making sure BP does a good job) has to be the govt.

that's the difference in beliefs of liberals and conservatives, let govt do everything or just let govt monitor things.
