Since it was a Turkish ship ( Who is a HUUUUGE allies of the U.S. ) I dont believe they were smuggling weapons

Israeli has again acted in full impunity against international law and needs to be held accountable for the murder of unarmed civilians at sea, and illegal barbaric piracy of civilian vessels in international water carrying humanitarian aid for Gaza.

I watch the greek news via satellite and if you guys watch the news in other countries ( anywhere in Europe , Canada , The BBC) you will see a completely diffrent view.

They censor what they show us in the US and they show us what they choose to.

Whats going on in Israel is similar to what what going on in South Africa.
Replace the Blacks with Palestinians and its still an apartheid state.

Would you be happy if another country came and took over your land or would you fight back ?

Israel has a blockade on Gaza. Whether you agree or disagree with the blockade is irrelevant. They have a blockade and NO ships or trucks are allowed in. Israel, with advance notice of this ship coming in, told them they will not allow them to go to Gaza and offered to take the humanitarian shipment and deliver it. Israel offered this. Period. Ship shouldve stopped and either turn away or give the good to israel. They didnt.. Why, bc They obviously came in looking for trouble. What did they think, they were just going to let them cross into gaza. HELL NO. Israel has every right to defend there borders and this blockade is a way for them to do so. NO exception. Could you imagine if this happened in another country in the mideast or in asia..Someone comes into someone elses space and is told to back off and they ignore the warning- A torpedo wouldve been shot and the ship wouldve been blown up. Israel sends troops in danger, repels on to the ship, soliders get fired upon, and unforntualy many casualties occur. well, what do u think is going to happen.

Did you know that there are numerous suicide bombing attempts daily??!!! No you didnt, bc its not on the news. Only time it is on the news is when they go off.

And how about the 20+ rockets which are fired into ISrael DAILY! Do you hear about this>? NOPE! I bet you didnt even know rockets get fired in daily

This incident occurred in international waters. And now there is an international outcry. It is simply a disaster and Israel and Israel only could have prevented it from happening in the first place by not attacking. I sort of understand Israel's position on the Gaza blockade, ( but the fact is the blockade of Gaza is illegal under the Geneva Convention ).though not its crazed macho military nonsense against the flotilla.This is an nsane use ofdisproportionate force. It is a product of the right-wing radicalization of the Israeli government.


There has not been any reasonable attempt by Israel to deal with the situation, and today they continue to force these people out of their homes and lands. They are imprisoned where they live, their homes are destroyed, and the materials necessary to rebuild them are blocked by the blockade.

Israel makes their own enemy.


Go to BBC. They have printed articles that point out that the UN determined that only 25percent of what is needed to meet minimum humanitarian goals is allowed to be brought in. In addition, I seem to remember a few articles at BBC that discuss the problem of Israelis playing a "shell game" with what's allowed, and what is not. Further, they are using their own "formula" for determining just at what level to maintain the population of Gaza. This is quite nasty stuff, and implicitly corroborates the claims that Gaza is an open air prison. Israel's position is BS ...The goal is not to stop missile strikes but to command the the whole area, to eliminate the Palestinians, or any claim they may have to the land and their homes.

1. The aid convoy had no missiles, and no arms for Hamas.

2. Gaza is not Israel.

3. Regardless of the Palestinians' choices in elections, that is not grounds for inflicting punishment of an entire population.

4. Israel is not "defending itself" as the convoy was not attacking Israel, nor did it have any means to do so.


The flotilla attacked by Israel last night was carrying materials such as cement, water purifiers, and other building materials, much of which Israel refuses to let pass into Gaza. this has happened all over the world since mankind was around. europeans took north america from the indians. they resisted and were slaughtered. you are right, people will fight back. the only way it has been resolved over the years is the way it was resolved right here, like it or not.

i am sure both sides are saying it was their land first. so who really took it from who? wars have decided these issues over history, and i don't see it changing any time soon.

you are going a way overboard with the "ethnic cleansing" thing. there is nothing close to this going on. no one is being rounded up and slaughtered. throwing stuff out there like this makes your arguments very biased and hard to take seriously.
