In case you forgot (hahaha), Jefferson ordered the National Guard to take him to his house three days after Katrina in a govt owned rescue boat so he could retireive $112,000 in bribe money he had hidden in his freezer. GREAT ethics there. BTW, Jefferson was only sentenced to I believe six years so the Progressives and Dems can reelect him in 2014. YIPPEEE

And I am from Louisiana and am embarassed by this. My whole point with vitterd is that the dems are JUST as crooked as the reps but those that are brainwashed don't see this.

I live here is Louisiana and trust me, MANY politicians - on BOTH sides - led to what happened during the recovery of Katrina. Don't you dare try and point the finger at just one person or party because unless you live here, you have NO CLUE what happened.

Trust me, what you saw on TV or read in the papers wasn't nearly half as bad as it really was. I was here 4 days after Katrina. I had 2 feet of water in my house and I was one of the lucky ones. I lived in a fema trailer for 1 1/2 years while I rebuilt my house, mostly by my own hands because of the bureaucratic bullshit by BOTH sides of the govenment.
You people who keep blaming this on one side - the reps or dems - have NO CLUE what we went thru. And unless you were here, you have no right to point fingers.

Sorry I vented but I am tired of reading about Katrina and who the blame belongs to because those that live here went thru it and know that our OWN politicians, both republicans and democrats failed us. And it is OUR fault that they were elected but MANY new politicians are now in office because of what happened.
