I have money in the bank and i'm very much a middle class white guy. I have no debt and no kids. I've been around a helluva lot of poor people in my short life, and have done what I consider the right things by my political beliefs, and have seen with my own eyes they way they struggle to make ends meet.

Unlike you, I care a lot more about people with income levels below mine than I do about people with income levels hundreds of thousands above mine. I'd much rather see billions given out to billions of people, than billions saved by one individual or one corporation. Call it Socialism, call it whatever in the fuck you want, I believe we, as a country, should be worried about our own people and how they are going to survive, than anyone else at the current moment. Including Iraqi's, Jews, Turks or anyone else in that fucking sty called the middle east...

There are millions still without health insurance and millions out of work and millions who are starving in THIS COUNTRY. Giving money and tax shelters and bonuses to the rich is the last thing I give two fucks about. PERIOD

You and I both know why we give aid to the Turks, the Jews, and used to give to the Iraqi's and Afghani's. I dont agree with that at all. I find it hard to agree with you caring about the low income. All the conversation is about rich people and what they do. First off to Bookbeater. If you think you think the wealthiest people in this country pay the same in taxes as you or I, then I have some swamp land to sell you. There's a reason the rich don't want a flat tax. Your tax table you posted means absolutely nothing as to what's actually paid.

To Gbell...Those are ALL FACTS! Why should those issues be avoided when they have a DIRECT correlation to what the country is facing NOW? THAT IS HOW WE GOT HERE. HELLO. Plain and simple. Meanwhile the economy and country seem to be recovering slowly. I'll gladly take where we are at now, as opposed to where we were at 2 years ago. There's a light at the end of the tunnel with the recession.
