spark, why are you calling me a follower? his words were taken out of context. if you just read the word 'rape' it looks bad, but if you read the WHOLE post and not take it out of context, one can attempt to understand the point he was trying to get across. The reason I know he didn't mean what he said is because I know the guy personally, and I know the type of work he does around town on a regular basis. The guy works with multiple charities, and is involved on a daily basis helping the less fortunate in Birmingham. I guess the reason I know he didn't mean what he said is because I know the guy, and see the work he does around town, and the poor people he and his charity helps on a regular basis. It actually makes me feel like crap because I talk a big game, but rarely ever do anything to help others because I use the same excuses 'I'm too busy today' and others like it. So please, I ask you and others not to judge me for taking up for someone that I know personally; most of us on here know nothing about one another, we might swap emails, but I don't think a lot of us on here have hung out in person. I know the guy, and for whatever his words may be, his actions make up for them, and I know he's making this community a better place.

the word raped was used to illustrate the noion of tort reform. if one reads the whole post they should be able to come to the conclusion that is what he meant. Just like when we say "I'm going to rape me bookie." It doesn't mean that I want to actually rape my bookie. The word rape was used to make the point that tort reform will rape the general public. In this country, we care for our children more than anything else, so the word rape was used to bring attention to the fact that if this were to pass it would actually hurt those we care the most about. The children are helpless and the have no vote on this matter of tort reform, since the have no vote, the word 'rape' was used to illustrate the point that they are helpless. Again, read the whole post, not just one word, or one sentence. If you only read a sentence or a word you're taking the whole post out of context.

that dude was a freak. I saw a program about him the other night, he should have never been let out of jail for the crap he did to that boy in Iowa. I also watched the movie about him last week-it came on showtime-it sucked.

I'm sure he will, but I also know that right now he's down at the Jimmy Hale Mission. I'm sitting here at my house watching the UK game, so I have time to voice my pov. It seems to me that whatever he says in defense of himslef will fall on deaf ears. Just because you don't agree with someone politically doesn't mean that they're a bad person. I'm sure you guys will ban him after his next post no matter what he says; I've seen it done around here in the past. Every time one post their POV that happens to be a little left of center everyone here bashes them for what they say. I would say that 95% of the people on here a very conservative, and hate people that are on the left. Look around here, I can only think of a handful of people on here that are liberal, and they get bashed on a regular basis. It gets old.

That is so fuckin lame grandma. He has had plenty of time to apologize so don't give us this he's gone away shit. He has made 46 posts since that one here in the last 3 weeks and on more than one occasion said he isn't apologizing for anything regarding that comment, so don't be defending somebody who meant what they said.
