Question for those supporting t his health care bill

What are your thoughts and opinions on the price tag given the fact the bill wouldn't be fully implemented until 2014ish but the taxes and cuts go into effect immediately? 4 years of taxes and cuts but not much to show for it, so what is the "true" price tag of 10 years of fully implemented bill?

And lastly, if there has been over 1 year of "openess" to these negotiations, and there is a projected savings of 500 billion over 10 years in Medicare b/c of fraud and waste, and BOTH sides what fraud out of the system, why didn't they pass a bill immediately as opposed to watching 50 billion roll out the door in the past year?

And if a Dem Congress has been in since 2007, does that mean they have been overseeing 150 billion in fraud while doing nothing? If that is the case, how can they be believed?




I would prefer not to hear Bush, Bush Bush but rather some opinions on the above topics.

Three years ago my 17 yr.old son was stricken by a rare virus . After a couple of weeks in the hospital , and undergoing chemo for six months , he beat the thing . Today he is healthy and attending college to be a juvenile officer. Now I don't know how many kids in this country are living without insurance , but I pray no child or there families will ever have to go through what we went through . Being a retired federal employee , I had insurance . Without it my tab would have been over $400,000.00 ! So from where I sit , I really don't care who is flying on what , without coverage my son would have died ! CASE EFFIN CLOSED !

They could care less about your son. They feel like since they have health insurance fuck you and your family. They would rather use their tax dollars to line the pockets of haliburton and dick cheney than help their fellow man... your son ....my son their neighbors son.

You guys are first class dick weeds. Do you really think Bush & Cheney dont care about your son or worse dont care if he lives or dies. Wrong! And what makes you think Obama does care. This push for healthcare is all a part of him trying to live up to the bullshit he said on the campaign trail. This country shells out more money to the rest of the world than any other country in the earths history. The United States is actually full of the most giving citizens the civilized world has ever seen. Im guessing you have never traveled outside of the country muscleman. You would not be so blind to this countries generosity if you had.
I did not have medical coverage for 5 years through some of college and then throgh flight school. I went out found a skilled job and now have health care. Through my un insured life I did not expect anyone to give anything to me, much less feel that I somehow deserved anything because I was an American. Thats pure stupidity.
Poor, less fortunate people have been voting for Democrats for 50 years and after 50 years they are still poor and less fortunate. There is a common denominator there and its not "Republican's are evil"

Glad to hear that your son has beaten his disease/illness. This is true for many people as they go broke with the absurd costs of insurance and what's left to pay afterwards. And for the ones that don't have it they end up broke, ruining their credit etc.
