Let me add the banning of Husker had nothing to do with this forum ... so it is not correct to say Husker got banned so why isn't this one ... !!!

Republicans used the 51 votes numerous times during bush's years. Cheney broke 50-50 tie 8 times in favor of republicans with his power. The 51 vote is in place for a purpose.

How many policies were created with reconciliation vs budget (tax cuts, etc) issues?

I know for a fact that the Bush tax cuts were pushed through via reconciliation as well as the perscription drug bill for seniors.

and pubs have used it 21 times since 1984 and Dick did break the 50-50 tie 8 times himself, but there was no outrage then. I knew about these things as do most people that read newpapers. all of this outrage over reconciliation leads me to believe what I've already known for a long time: that most Americans do not read, thus they rely on the TV and radio to get their news. Everytime I turn on the radio there is some right wing host talking about reconciliation. I know that's where most people are getting their info from. I'm sorry if my post seems to be a little snotty, but I'm sick and tired of people being too lazy to read the newspaper. It's your fault you're not informed, so please don't hold the rest of us back just because your just now hearing about reconciliation. Tough break.

Was there this board when the Medicare ************ law was signed? I think if there was, MANY on here would have been bitching about that huge, unfunded piece of garbage. Does it help seniors, yes, b ut at what cost to the overall economy.
