  • Lot of respect for Scott Brown

Guy voted the way he wanted, not because he had too. A lot of Dems and Repubs vote along party lines even if they don't agree with what they are voting for. F them.

We have been over those time and time again. Of course if you disagree with Obama's policies you hope he fails. If you disagree with Bush's policies you hoped Bush's policies failed. It is terribly naive and just plain idiotic to disagree with someone's policies and hope they succeed.

Your statement that "........Obama and this country to fail......." makes it sound as if these things go hand in hand. Many people like myself think the complete opposite. I think that if Obama's policies succeed our country will fail. I don't understand why you can't seem to grasp that concept. You can disagree with that position, and I can respect that, but you have to understand the difference. I think you are smart enough to figure that out and are just saying that b/c it sounds like a nice thing to say to speak against the other side. I for one 1000% hope and pray that Obama's policies fail. I think that ObamaCare will lead us to destruction. I think taxing the rich (the people that stimulate our economy and create jobs) and redistributing wealth to the poor is a horrible idea on so many fronts it would take too much to list. I think the gov't taking over business is terrible for this country. So yes, I absolutely hope Obama fails b/c I think his failure is instrumental to our country's long term success.

Obama already is a huge failure. Unemployment over 10%, businesses afraid to hire because the future is uncertain how much they will get screwed in this healthcare debacle. Lets hope he does not take the whole country down with him on his way out.

Hoping that something like the healthcare bill doesn't pass is one thing, but hoping the economy doesn't turn around, including the stim package, is just ridiculous. Even if healthcare doesn't pass Obama can still be a success, and you would rather that doesn't happen. Policies are one thing, but shitting on and rejecting everything he's trying to do is a joke.

But if the economy turns around then business and people will make profits. What will the Libs do about that? You know, those greedy businesses that dare to make a profit.

I don't think there are hopes of the economy not turning around, just a disagreement on how to do it. The Repubs have a different vision, but are in the minority, so their ideas for the most part are shut out. The President has his own views, and with majorities, then he can, as has, gotten what he wants. I don't understand your premise. Are you saying Repubs, who believe totally opposite visions, should just pass everything the President wants even if they disagree? This President campaigned on bi partisanship and imo, his biggest mistake, has been to sub contract out his work/vision to Reid and Pelosi. He could have gotten a lot more done had he lived up to his own campaign promises. For something to work, it seems like both sides would get pissed. Tort reform for mandates. Insurance purchase across state lines for expanded medicare. Etc. Both sides happy, both sides pissed. And then there is a law.

Libs don't have a problem with business and profit. I would like small and medium size busn to have a better chance to make more profits. I only ask that the huge corps pay their fair share of taxes, and keep jobs in America.

Pubs still believe that tax cuts is the answer to deficit reduction. They really don't have any new ideas.

Dems have no plan for debt reduction either. No one does. I think the Repubs believe in tax cuts to stimulate economy by putting money in people's pockets, not to reduce deficit. Could be wrong though if they believe that. Dems seem to want to spend out of economic woes with no deficit reduction ideas.

And I was referring to bi partisanship ideas on health care where both sides would be happy and pissed at the same time. Incorporating both sides ideas as promised in campaign but broken immediately.
