I haven't heard anyone in here say they wouldn't vote for a president just because they were a Muslim.

    That is my only point.

As far as the bashing goes, I don't like bashing period. Most of the attacks on our president have been over policies. For those who attack him because of his name, or his father's heritage, are misguided.

I think you are confusing comments about Islamic extremists and all Muslims. Are you asking the same of Muslim leaders to condemn acts of violence of EVERY occassion? Doubtful.

        - Haliburton? Fine if that's what you think than why does our current drafts of healthcare have a special union exemption carved out in it???

You always talk about this absolute mess. In 1 year he's reneged on over half of his campaign promises and has proven his in the pocket of the hard left of his party. Thanks for all that hope. The change has been really good for the country.

Personally I Hope that after all this I have at least some Change left.

Of course you're gonna say Bush is smarter, and Palin is smarter than everyone. If he brought the troops home, you would've said he isn't tough on terror, since he made the exact right call, you're bashing whatever you can. He's trying to do things, but it's not as easy as just making them happen, you have to know that.

Plus weren't the President's panties in a wad when people starting using his middle name in the campaign, yet he gets sworn in using it?

Are their loons who believe the President wasn't born in the US? Yes, there is a lunatic fringe. But you (BW) make it out like it is a mainstream thing everywhere.

No I'm not confusing anything. Read some of the threads these jokers post, some of the most ignorant stuff I've ever read.

Palin....why is EVERYONE on the left afraid of this person and can't stop injecting her name in any point they are trying to make? With her approval ratings you would think they would encourage her to run.

I think I have seen a post or two from Jordanrules about Muslims, but not much else. But now every person in here has to defend the rantings of one or two? Makes sense.

Man, that is his name. It is what it is. Disagree with his policies, but don't slam him because of what his parents named him.

I am unhappy with him and his policies, but his name has nothing to do with that.

Not true at all. I have normal conversations with conservative liberals, republicans, independents etc, in my everyday life. On this website however there are so called republicans, that make ridiculous posts. Read some of the threads, you'd be embarrassed that these guys claim they are republicans.

Some of these guys were calling him a racist. It's amazing and eye opening for me.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I cry laughing when I think of her, and the best part was that some hardcore politicians out there where trying to defend her. You have to admit some of the stuff she said, you couldn't make up. Same with Bush, why can't you just put politics aside and just enjoy the comedy.

You're damn right I'm bashing Obama for any reason I can. I'm being 100% consistent. The guy has done EVERYTHING he promised not to do. He has been in the pocket of his lobbyists. He's allowed bills with HUGE pork spending to be debated and sent to him. The person not being consistent is the one who has too much power. Our current CINC is soft not because of his policies. Honestly I'm pretty happy that he's taken on most of the Bush policies and not overturned them. However his rhetoric is stomach turning and makes people wonder about how safe they are.

I'm not the one who promised to make things all better. I'm not the one who got elected by lying. I'm the American people. It's my job to make sure that his inconsistencies get hammered into the ground and hopefully he does what he says he was going to do. Personally i would be very happy if he would reign in spending...Or if he would even do something worthwhile about jobs.

How is America Rising? I am neither Republican nor am I a Democrat and perhaps it is because I am to naive to see what is actually going on....but I am on the front lines 60 to 70 hours a week and I see how hurt our economy is on a daily basis. I love the passion (although the "Counrty" thing is an unfortunate distraction to his point - not judging - I see this a lot in emails and posts these days). So how are we changing again? This country is INCHES away from losing ALL credibility and selling its soul to the Chinese (who by the way are THRIVING!!). If you spend your time focusing on the main stream issues you will miss the news that makes the back page, the things that are setting the foundation of our demise, quietly. This administration is NOT going to fix the problems just as the last one isn't responsible for 100% of them. I encourage you to be open minded and listen to the story behind the story....and finally - and FOR GOD'S SAKE...consider the source of every piece of information that you hear. There are NO UNBIASED NEWS SOURCES left - nothing is "fair and balanced" - the machine is too big and the money and power are too intoxicating...you are being lied to on a minute by minute basis. Open your eyes America but more importantly - open your ears.
The Harder I work - the luckier I get.

B.W these guys are a outright farce! How would explain a group of men who sit around ripping the current president WEEKS AFTER HIS INAUGURATION and expect them to be fair and open minded? THEY NEVER FUCKING VOTED FOR HIM ANYWAY!So most of this is sour grapes. They play the same games as the republicans play in congress. They will do whatever they can to make sure health care reforms cant pass, his upcoming jobs program bill wont pass and anything else to make the democrats look bad.

You have guys on here saying the reason they hate obama is because he is killing small business when in fact he bought the small business program that bush killed but their prejudice wont let them admit this fact. And the other other guys will never give obama credit for anything. WHEN HE TOOK OFFICE THE STOCK MARKET AND THIS COUNTRY WAS ON THE BRINKS OF ANOTHER GREAT DEPRESSION.......They wont give him credit for saving the country from that.

These were the same guys sucking off bush after 9-11 and wmd's COULD YOU IMAGINGE THE OPEN MINDED CREW IF OBAMA HAD BEEN PRESIDENT DURING THAT? WOULD THEY BE SO FORGIVING? PLEASE B.W ANSWER THAT QUESTION AS HONESTLY IF YOU CAN BECAUSE THE CREW DOESNT HAVE A IMPARTIAL BONE IN THEIR BODIES.

Seriously B.w why do you think they hate obama so much? part is policy I will admit to that but the other part is because they never wanted him there in the first place and no matter what he does what kind of positives he does for the country they will continue to bash, start stupid biased posts, and continue to be impartial to president obama.

I mean think about it b.w have any of the crew gave him him credit for one thing he has done?????????

absolutely not.... I MEAN YOU HAVE ONE MENSA ON HERE SAYING HE SPEAKS WORST THAn BUSH AND HE CANT GIVE SPEECHES WITHOUT A TELEPROMPTER. Ive known Barack for 15 years and not only is he great orator if reading off the telelprompter makes your job easier why wouldnt you do it?

Unreal they bash him for following a tradition of showing other country leaders respect and for reading off a teleprompter.

really what else has done thats been so horrific?

You made my point. I have NO problem with his middle name. It is what it is. But I don't like the hypocrisy of the insistence of the media to exclude it, as well as his campaign throwing stones at anyone who did and then he is sworn in using it. So imo, it was odd that no one else could use his middle name in anything but him. That is being a hypocrite. If he was proud enough (rightfully so) to use it during inaguration, why not during the campaign?
